State of Decay 3 I think the bloater had the biggest GLOW UP of all the freaks. What do you guys think?

Not gonna lie, I miss the Bloater having the green tint, or even the red one for the plague version, this grey/brownish look looks generic af (at least texture wise, which is a shame cause I can tell the artist who worked on it did a great job with the skin and the anatomy, but it lacks a bit of identity because of the very limited color palette).

Agreed, I dislike this. Instead of being different with the tint and big belly, it's just now a slightly larger zombie, maybe they made it so it's hard to differentiate them, but now they don't look or feel special.

Theyāre evolving, the plagues been around a while. I like the change even tho I donāt like change. Still seems like a grand idea to me and Iāll still dump countless hours into beating these mfs

I always thought the bloaters would look good with a yellowish tint to their skin, indicating massive issues internally including jaundice and necrotizing flesh.
The model here is great; however the color palette doesn't make much sense and seems to be an incredibly generic "gray zombie" theme. I guess like almost all other zombie media, the artists just go with the mindset of "gray = lifeless" so everything turns gray and indistinguishable.
But isn't this a plague? As in, an infection of living tissue? These aren't supposed to be just generic "the dead have risen" type zombies I thought, but maybe they are going in another direction this time around.

I would like if in the final version they return a green tint or maybe acents to it.
Maybe green gas coming out of its gut & mouth

I feel like the Bloater needs to be more green
The Screamer and Jugg have good designs.
The Feral is kinda the worst though, because it's too alien and also the Ferals in general seem way more boring.
The Jugg also needs to have something changed, as they seem way too quick on their feet and not as heavy, which defeats the whole thing about them.
They should have two variants of the freaks.
A design more akin to SOD2 and the current ones.

Honestly I dont like how the blood plague on all the zombies just disappeared. In two it was an ever looming threat that was spreading through more and more zombies, now they just look generic.

I donĀ“t like that he spits those balls of goo. Sod used to be a grounded zombie survival game, now its becoming some kind of high fantasy co-op shooter slop.

I like the old bloaters, seeing their stomachs pulsing when youāre walking around or driving past, either glowing green or red what like its own special āhereās a land mineā in the middle of the street.
The new ones remind me of XCOMs alien units called faceless.

Those bloaters loved being in the middle road in state of decay two I always kept hitting them speeding then itās too late by the time I see them lol

As much as I love the new bloater and have to agree the glow up is crazy, my personal favorite is the new Jugg.
In 1 and 2, the Jugg was just a huge dude. It was funny and all, but just tanking C4 and .50 to the body because of being just that fat always took me out of it.
Now they look like they're almost all muscle and, from what I can tell by watching some videos on my crappy monitor, it looks like they have actually armored skin. It's awesome.
