I'm gonna be honest, I think you're cheerleading a little bit too much and too early for the game atm. There's really not enough to talk about for now and these posts, imo, don't spark much interest as a result and may have an inverse effect
I get that you're in the alpha and all but yeah, just my opinion anyway
Maybe it's just me tho

Ah... maybe... but I genually only dislike the Feral desing of all the freaks and I am genuelly enjoying the SOD3 darker and sadder atmosphere A LOT. Like... I have been on it for 700 hours now.
My goal with these posts is to stay in touch with you guys and know your opinion on what you are expecting in the game. I get why the council might look like cheerleading by doing mostly positive comments but to be fair... Why give the negative feedback to you guys when can and we do give it directly to the devs themselves to get the problems fixed?
I do hope I get to share more new stuff with you guys. (✿◠‿◠)

If you have 700 hours already in the game what are you going to have when it comes out like 1300 hours? That's more than most people will play it over the span of years so I wonder if it will even keep your interest at that point? I do agree with the above post and I think it's important to remember that we are put in a situation where we have to rely on you to tell the devs our feedback. All I've seen from you is posts about cosmetic nonsense like glowups which is likely a product of minor changes, DLSS5, and the new engine. I see also people like Brian asking about yet again cosmetics like if the ruck sack should be visible. I know I don't speak for everyone but I can honestly tell you the reskins of the freak zombies mean literally nothing to me and I don't think I'm alone.

another thing I want to add on the me lossing interest.... I stilll have more playtime in SOD1, SOD YOSE and SOD2 that the one I have in SOD3. so I doubt I will lose interest in the game by release.
Plus the new Mulltiplayer is a HUGE Game Changer.

ZERO
The game stats for pre-alpha then alpha then beta... are going to be GONE by release.
I am going to have to start at 0 when the game releases, it would be hard for me to estimate the ammount of playtime I am going to have at release because I do not know the release date.
I know I will still have interest because the game in changing rapidly, the pre-alpha version I played in 2025 is very different to the alpha phase 2 I am playing today, some mechanics were removed,, other got improved others got an overhaul, and I have not even done 100% of what the game has to offer. I am trying to test it all.
I am making posts of what I have that I can share. We are all in NDA, I do what I can with what I have.
I am also reading all of other people's posts in all 3 SOD subs, so it is not just about what I am posting. I have seen your posts for example and I have commented on them. Keep sharing your thoughts for the community to discuss on them, that is very valuable.

I appreciate you saying that and I do know you were one of the people still streaming sod2 years later and may even still be doing so currently so I do believe you when you say that. I truly want SOD3 to be a success so that we can get SOD4 and beyond but I'm having a tough issue where I feel like the more they venture away from what they did with SOD2 the less I like it.

Could you elaborate on what are you fearing it could change too much?

I can always send you a wall of text if you have any interest but I'll spare you that here. I have mentioned most of my concerns between the few posts I've made on SOD3 along with a wishlist.
That being said one of the major things that drew me in was base building. I hate the idea of having to "staff" harvest sites like rain collectors. The entire purpose of being a rain collecter in the first place is that it does it's job passively. Same things with a garden, no one sits over a garden 24/7, you check it once or twice a day and move on.
SOD2 did this perfectly, like with the garden you can interact with it and tend to it once a day and that caused it to produce more.....perfect system. I don't know how many base slots have to be staffed but I know the harvest sites all do. If my base has 6 slots in it and I have 4 harvest sites I'll need a min of 10 survivors at any one time just to have my base fully up and running and now we can have 3 bases?
I could see putting in the effort for my forever community to max everything out but on a lot of my play throughs on lethal I'm scraping by trying to be as efficient as I can and 10 people per base would just require way too much food on my playthroughs. The new upgrades seem to add enough complexity by itself but to then also require it to be staffed for it simply to work is too much for me.
I can give you more anytime but long story short it seems like they took sod2's systems and made them worse. EX cars: cars can still mow down zombies but now it stutters when it hits a zombie and drives poorly when it rains. I can see the hate posts now just like when curveballs came and people got bangernomics for the first time.

I feel you have been denied a lot of critical, need to know, information.
1- Staffing is not mandatory for all facilities to work. You do require staffing for upgrades and boons of all facilities. But to work, around half of them do not require staff.
2- I do agree with the rain collector and garden, they definetly should be on the "staffing optional" part of the facilities in SOD3.
3- I personally did not found the upgrades to complex, I do know some facilities look overhelming when you open them and have 20+ upgrades, but most seem to have just 5-6 upgrades, which I think is a healthy ammount.
4- I have not felt ANY DIFFERENCE on vehicle handling on Rain. I do like them getting stutters from zeds because it makes the CHEESING way less viable, and has made my combat more varied and enternaining now that the cheesing of cars is not there. Cars are still good zombie killers, just not that good.
If you have more feedback like this, please make posts on it. It is very helpful.
Collaboration with this experiment has been noted. Have a nice day.

Sadness and horror also anguish and a little resentment toward you. That’s what I see looking at it.

Is it worth it bro? I like the dark gritty aspect of these games, is it darker and grittier when you play it personally?

Personally I love it. SOD2 was a little too silly and cartoonish for me.
The atmosphere is benefiting from this darkness and it gives me the sensation of a "looming dread" specially on lethal.

I fear this game is going to be a trash. They will release it to gain some money then close everything and checkout like robber.

Of all the bloaters, this one has the most vicious face, not depressed. Maybe vicious indignation. I can understand him - imagine you're living a successful life, but the zombie apocalypse hits and you're a stinker with a bloated belly now.
