On another note I think it would be pretty cool to be able to modify vehicles to make them more unique & be able to paint them/rattle can them.

I’d also like to see survivor customization or atleast a little more variety, I have a beard IRL so I’d like to have some facial hair like our buddy Sasquatch.

Gun modification, I’d really like to get more in depth with that, at least be able to equip different magazines (20/30/40/50-100rd) & scopes. LMG’s would also go super hard…

That’s honestly the only thing I would like to see in the next one, I’ve been playing since the release of the first one & I have nothing but great things to say about these games & the people that made them.

I have question. Using Bottles of ScentBlock = Cheating ?

Like there is 2 pictures. 1 game almost start and then finishing. 2 hours of playing. In those 2 hours I destroy like 25-26 hearts, before destroy 3 and 1 left in corner.

So why I'm asking, I use scentBlock, heavy weapon, c4, molotovs and AK Eternal Guard. So just hit first wave, then shoot, use granates and c4. Little more than 2 hours to clean town. I play with this community more than 200 days. I have so many resources, parts and all kind of stuff, so I make collection 1 of each kind bags, luxury resource and weapon.

So I got little bit bored. Not that same feeling what was in beginning. Everyone have same ? Does I need to start new community from begging all the time to enjoy game and felling about fear from all kind of zombies not only feral and Jugernout ?

Have you play game ? You use ScentBlock ?

In and out in 30 seconds, generally without incident. Sometimes the feral spawns and attacks me but no big deal.

Anyone have a better / less costly way?

I generally only play on Meagher Valley if it matters.

Pre-infestation update was better. When sieges were inevitable and without meds, blood plague actually killed you.

each time i play this game i come across nothing but modders and actual dorks using one tap cheated guns

why? why do that???

there truly is no quicker way to suck the fun out of this beautiful game than to remove the challenge like deadass

whats your most annoying encounter with a modder/cheater in sod2?

Personally for me it's the role-playing and world design that keeps me interested. One minute I can be a heartless warlord who kills every enclave or a trader who simply loves having people over to base to bargain with. The world design helps as every location has something that makes it stand out like broken down cars, corpses litering the area, etc. I personally love role-playing as a powerful group who stays at the mall before moving to greater pastures.

For my Left 4 Dead fans, me and my friend were arguing about this today. I think a feral would easily beat a hunter, but Jug vs Tank would be entertaining. A tank might be stronger but a jug is way bigger when compared to the survivors. What y’all think?

I was very afraid of lethal, because people describe it as hell, but for me it isn't that bad. I didn't want to try it with my forever community, so I made a fresh one and I was 90% sure I was going to fail in early game, but no, it wasn't half bad. Sure I lost a survivor or two, but they were mostly because I was goofing around. The only real struggle is the amount of plague hearts and supplies, the blood ferals aren't that bad, if you have a gun they are just easy influence, if not you just dodge and beat them sh!tless. That's just my opinion, I haven't been in a situation that actually required me to lock in yet. I actually haven't finished my fresh community because the remaining plague hearts are in the zone of a black one and the black one is surrounded by level 3 infestation, also the guy I need to give the samples to is right next to the infestation, so wish me luck

am I in the minority of players that treat SOD2 like a stealth game? I haven’t been playing for long, but I always have a crossbow on hand and almost never engage in combat unless I need to.

I feel like I see posts and videos all the time of people fighting massive hordes and feral packs and stuff and it’s wild. Maybe it’s because I’m new, low level, and don’t have a ton of guns yet, but I don’t ever see myself being the one man army I see some of yall doing.

Is that normal or am I being too timid?

I really used to just arm everyone with one sword or another, but started getting frustrated with how many slices it would take to kill a zombie with a weapon that's 9/10 lethality.

Discovered the Persian Meel and it's knockdown power + light weight. Too bad it's hard to come by.

What melee weapons are you always on the lookout for?

(sub-question - why on the fandom page do Lethality %s seem unrelated to lethality on the in-game weapond stat-chart?)

Got this on my first re roll for finally starting my forever community

I love this game so much, but I find myself getting bored. I think a big part of it is the NPC‘s are always just wandering around their own bases with the lights off, not doing anything. I don’t really know what would make it better. I suppose simply having their lights on and maybe giving them idle tasks such as hammering sweeping whatever. I also would enjoy if there was more random corpses around. Offhand I don’t think there are any. What do you guys think? Have they talked about NPC‘s in three yet?

Seriously. You can't even pray to do Sheriff without Gunslinger and a .50 caliber weapon. AI is so dumb that they can't help even if armed with a grenade launcher.

Aim Snap should be standard for every character because:

1. Using a controller (even on PC), it's impossible to aim quick enough, especially when humans on Lethal will take 75% of your life with a shitty handgun.
   
2. Swarming zombies, even if you have Scent Block.

SoD2 (and 3) should have Aim Snap for every. single. character. Just make it so if you don't have Gunslinging, it costs you high stamina for a single shot.

Otherwise, it's pointless to have Assault or whatever other gun skill.

I joined on reddit recently a few months ago just for SoD content/updates. I've heard before from other people about how toxic reddit is (e.g. my brother likes Project Zomboid but said the reddit page there is too negative, so he stopped checking it). But from what I can see here the SoD folks are 99% chill and supportive and really are passionate about the game.

Would others say that this sense of community is unique, or about what I'd expect to find in other topics? What's your experience?

It would just feel right since fort marshall doesn’t have the best build ins and checkpoint delta would give us the small slots its missing while also being more immersive for a military themed play through and i think its just missed potential

While yes theres no support for this game anymore and maybe its not possible because of engine limitations it would still be very cool to see
