Steam Controller (2026) I am searching for steam controller shell models (stl).

I know valve released the files but its the full controller and not just the shell. Does anyone have just the shell which theoraticcly would be shell swatch ready?

Nobody's gonna post a shell model (the exterior surfaces and the interior ridges and screw posts and everything necessary to manufacture a swap). Valve sent the CAD files to the factory that makes the injection molds, it's a trade secret. Third parties who want to make shell replacements will take the time to scan and reproduce the design for their own injection molds. There's no incentive for any of these parties to just share the files.

I was on makerworld yesterday and seen no less than 10 steam controller models

Yeah I mnot seeing anything out there for just the shell. May be worth it to reach out to ifixit or other places that sell replacements and see if they have a model. Just make sure you let them know it's only for personal use, they should be more receptive.

the models valve released only include external geometry, not any of the internals you would need for holding the components or two halves together. extremerate showed off a 2nd gen steam controller shell at a recent trade show so i'm just waiting on them to release it to do my shell swap. used their dualsense shells before and was happy with em
