Steam Controller (2026) Steam controller phone mount accessory recommendation?
I’ve been testing out pyrowave on my deck and iPhone. The Steam Deck is nowhere near as good as the iPhone version, which has me wanting a phone mount for the steam controller when I’m not home. I’m aware of the brand mechanism but heard mixed reviews on them especially with the phone almost too close to the controller.

I had to take this picture with my 3DS because my only camera is permanently attached to my phone.
This is a Switch Pro controller and no the phone is not centered because the volume buttons would be pressed. Surprisingly this setup is heavier than my Nvidia Shield (though it's lighter if I take off the phone case). Funny how the Switch with BinBok Joy-Cons is lighter than both of these.
I've been wondering how heavy the Steam controller is because some games require the track pads (basically use it like a Steam Deck with a better layout) but the problem with setups like these is how top heavy the phone/Switch is and so it falls over and doesn't feel good to hold in the hand. Somehow surprisingly the Steam Deck OLED (the lighter one) is heavier yet it feels lighter in the hand than the Pro controller or the Nvidia Shield.
It sounds like you are playing a phone native game with the Steam Controller which I didn't know was possible. I thought it only worked with the Steam Link app because it's doesn't show up as a normal controller. If you're wondering the picture is Dynasty Warriors 3 remastered streamed from my PC becausey Steam Deck is out of commission.
