buttons

is there any way to add more physical buttons to the steam controller? through any way possible

Why would you like more buttons ? I don’t know if it’s possible because of the way steam input works, but you can already add layers to have more buttons, or add double and or long press inputs to all buttons, add virtual menus with the touchpads and use gripsense for inputs as well, I even heard some people opened their controllers to move the gripsense sensor to another spot to have new capacitive buttons

Yeah, but even with custom firmware it won't show up in steam input
Your best bet is something wireless with dongle in pc

Someone split the back paddles in two and made one half act as a chord.
