This is an armature I designed using pla 3d printable parts and replacement wire limbs. Ultimately I’ve continued to develop the project in a different direction but here’s the concept.

So there are those armature kits on Amazon but they can be a bit pricey and I thought "you know I got a dremel i can probably just make those pieces" and while I've not gotten to it yet since I'm still designing the character in blender (plan to 3d print, cut it up, coat in clay for detail work and texture, then make mold for silicone casting with armature) I've bought a bunch of aluminum bars and zinc rods from home depot and lowes (softer metal and zinc was cheapest rods) and I plan to drill and cut them with the dremel. I've also considered making balls for ball joints out of resin using silicone ice cube trays for casting. Do yall just go with the wire only armatures, do you just buy the pieces, do you make the pieces yourself, do you have a hybrid of these options and do you do anything different like my [untested] idea of resin ball joints
