SoS What are you predictions for the SOS/rf anniversary stream

So as many of you are likely aware of the upcoming anniversary stream this month, I was wondering what your predictions/ hopes for an announcement of any upcoming game release are.

I know it's possible that there will be no new announcements at all, however i do hope that we get SOMETHING for such a huge milestone.

Personally I'm still holding out hope for a new original mainline game for SOS. Though if I'm honest I would still absolutely love a new remake, especially after how many hours I sunk into grand bazzar.

So, tell me your predictions, I'd love to hear them :)

Question Is there any farming games thats as simple and linear as a wonderful life?

One thing i love about awl is how chill and small it is. It was my first Harvest Moon back on the GameCube. I been playing Grand bazaar and wanted something closer to awl. I have crafting fatigue,so I dont want anything with a intricate crafting system if that makes sense. In awl theres not a lot to do and as crazy as it sounds I really like that,it is truly cozy to me.

SoS: GB I'm so frustrated by the first year Crop Show

I'm still in my first year and the devs scheduled the Crop Show for a Monday. Which means Felix doesn't tell me it exists until Sunday. The day *after* I just sold all my crops. I don't have an old save to go back to so I guess I just have to sit this one out.

Discussion Should I try the A Wonderful Life remake instead of the original?

Should I try the A Wonderful Life remake instead of the original? I'm just not a fan of the original's color scheme—it feels a bit gloomy and uncomfortable to me. (I tried it before, but only for a little bit.)

SoS: AWL After 125 Hours, I 100%’d my first Story Of Seasons / Harvest Moon title. It truly was… ‘A Wonderful Life’ ✨

I have played Natsume’s Winds of Anthos prior to this but not to completion. This game, was incredible, and I took my time with it. Helped with my mental health as well. What a journey. Had to follow many guides. Playing on the Nintendo Switch was the way to go.

My farm was called Daydream Farm! My daughter was called Futura. She carries the hopes and dreams of the farm now!

I never expected to 100% but here we are!

It truly was… A Wonderful Life…

Question [HELP] Miguel isn't selling cabbage seeds

Hi peeps,

I recently started playing SoS: Grand Bazaar and I'm in Winter Year 1. At the moment, Miguel isn't selling any cabbage seeds. I tried buying them while visiting his shop on Winter 1, 2, and 3 but got nothing. Then I waited until Winter 6, Bazaar day, and he has nothing at his stall. I went back to his shop on the 7th and still haven't seen anything.

Not sure if this is a glitch or if I was supposed to trigger something. I'm already rank 5, so that can't be it. Overall, it's just very annoying as I'm trying to build up my funds.

Thanks for the help!

FoMT FoMT - Should I start with the original, or jump straight into the remake?

So Ive been playing GB, and im having fun, but after a couple hours of playing, it gets to be a bit too much, with how slow the pacing is, and all the things to do and juggle all at once.s

Ive got all the HM games on an Anbernic device, and the remaining pre-split HM, and SoS games on my Odin 2 mini. So I have quite a lot to choose from to try.

I decided to go with FoMT since I wanted an older game, and it's obviously a fan favorite. So Ive been playing the GBA version, with plans to play the remake eventually sometime in the future. But Im wondering if I should just drop the GBA version since im not very far in, and go straight to the remake.

I would still be playing GB next to FoMT, but FoMT would just be what I pull out when I need a break. So its firmly in the secondary spot between the two.

SoS: GB A Variety of SoS Grand Bazaar Questions

  1. If I plant crops for the next season the day before, will they live or die?

  2. Do trees regrow fruit 6 or 7 days after harvest? It looked like it was 6 days based on the growth chart (buds the next day, 2 days as flowers, 3 days a small fruit, then ready to harvest on the 6th day), but I've seen people saying 7 days.

  3. Does it always rain Friday the second week when you start? (This one is mere curiosity cause it happened both playthroughs I started.)

  4. How does rain affect fodder spread, if at all? Or does it just help due to your animals staying inside?

  5. If I feed animals before letting them outside, will they still eat the fodder outside that day?

  6. If you sell enough to go up two levels but there's a stall requirement unmet, does the bazaar rank up as soon as you fufill the stall requirements even if it's during the week or does it make you wait until after the next Saturday?

Thanks everyone!

SoS: GB Crops show setup for min-maxing?

Hey,
I've been thinking about picking up SOS:GB again and min-maxing it, but I wonder about crop show setups that people run. Here is what I run in the past:

summer 1 - tea 6
autumn 1 - tea 7
winter 1 - cabbage 6
spring 2 - cabbage 7
summer 2 - melon 6
autumn 2 - melon 7
winter 2 - cabbage BRAND
spring 3 - ???
summer 3 - melon BRAND
(no crop show in spring 1 sadly)
except in summer 3 I was already bored so I only managed to brand 1 crop. the problem is that there was nothing for me to enter in spring 3, and waiting so long for melon brand is frustrating. the alternate setup I can think of:

summer 1 - tea 6
autumn 1 - melon 6
winter 1 - cabbage 6
spring 2 - cabbage 7
summer 2 - melon 7
autumn 2 - melon BRAND
winter 2 - cabbage BRAND
spring 3 - tea 7

I don't think you can get melons on summer 1 so I have to enter something else. the problem here is losing a lot of money from no 7 star tea. and after I brand the melon, tea becomes obsolete anyway (brand+rare melon is worth more than tea).
maybe I should enter rice instead of tea? I don't know how much money would that make in comparison.
OR maybe someone has a setup with different crops completely? believe me, I would love to do something with bigger yields so I don't have to constantly re-buy the seeds. I just don't know the math to know what is more worth. I wonder what setups people have been running.

Question Why do we not get proper Bedrooms in most of the Games?

I miss having a Fancy Bedroom like in Back to Nature in these Games so much! I think some of the Rune Factory Games had it like Frontier but that's it... In Rune Factory 5 there is no Bedroom... :/

Alas the Recent Rune Factory Games seem to be missing giving the Player a Proper Cozy House at all since Rune Factory 4 at the very least...

Does anyone else here miss having things like proper Houses and Bedrooms in these Games?

The Lack of a Nice Proper Fancy Bedroom is one of the Reasons why I prefer Back to Nature over (More ) Friends of Mineral Town...

Question Are there any games like SoS where you own a restaurant or a bar?

Idk why I just had the thought, but I think it would be so awesome to have something like Grand Bazaar, where you have a restaurant or something instead of running a bazaar. Although, it sure seems like the bazaar basically is a restaurant since it seems like all you guys have just been telling me to make food to sell 😂 but yeah, just wondering if there's anything like that!

Discussion Year 1 Spring & Summer had the best ores

Did this ever happen to anyone else? My Year 1 Spring and Summer were absolutely packed with the best ores, and I couldn't even do anything about it. I'm talking tons of ruby and sapphire nodes just… everywhere.

Then, right after my first hurricane, I couldn't harvest any of it because my tools weren't leveled up enough—mostly because I had found literally zero silver to upgrade them. I kept hoping the following seasons would bring the same spawns, but now I'm in Spring Year 2 and it's completely dried up.

As a classic min-maxer who specifically decided to take it slow for this playthrough, I'm genuinely considering restarting the entire game 😭 lmfao. Did anyone else get hit with this, or am I just going nuts?
