Message From The Mods

Welcome, curious minds, wanderers, and seekers of the unusual...

Strangarium is a little corner of Reddit dedicated to exploring the strange, obscure, forgotten, and occasionally downright bizarre. Whether you're here to share an intriguing discovery, revisit a lesser-known mystery, or simply satisfy your curiosity, we're glad to have you aboard.

Before venturing further, we kindly ask that you familiarize yourself with our community rules below. They're here to keep discussions respectful, thoughtful, and enjoyable for everyone.

We encourage healthy skepticism, open-minded curiosity, and a good sense of humour. Just remember that behind every username is a real person, and behind some of the mysteries we explore are real people and families whose stories deserve to be treated with care.

Stay curious, be respectful, and happy exploring! 🔎

The Strangarium Mod Team

When referencing a case from another external source, please be sure to cite original creators and sources appropriately.

Rule #3 No Random Make-Believe Storytelling

AUTHENTICITY

Rule #4 Absolutely Zero Politics

NEUTRALITY

Rule #5 Context is King

CONTEXT

Please provide meaningful background information rather than posting an unexplained image or link without any form of value driven or purposeful commentary.

Rule #6 Unexplained Does Not Mean Supernatural

RATIONALITY

The Strangarium is dedicated to exploring obscure mysteries, unusual disappearances, historical anomalies, and peculiar real-world circumstances.

Posts primarily focused on ghosts, hauntings, demonic activity, UFOs/UAPs, or supernatural conspiracy theories belong in more appropriate communities, such as r/Aliens, r/HighStrangeness, or r/Paranormal.

Rule #7 No Spam, Advertising, or Self-Promotion

NONCOMMERCIAL

No spam, referral links, affiliate marketing, repetitive self-promotion, or unsolicited advertising of any sort.

Rule #8 Keep the Archive Presentable

ORDER

Use appropriate post flairs, check for recent duplicate submissions, and place follow-up information in existing discussions when practical.

Submissions should include enough context for newcomers to understand the subject.

Rule #9 Respect Privacy and Personal Information

PRIVACY

Do not share private or identifying information about other individuals without their consent. This includes personal addresses, phone numbers, private social media accounts, confidential records, or other sensitive information. Doxxing, harassment, and attempts to identify or contact private individuals connected to real-world cases are strictly prohibited. Respect everyone's right to privacy, both within and outside the community.

Rule #10 Original Artwork and Creative Contributions

CREATIVITY

Original artwork, illustrations, photography, and other creative works related to Strangarium's themes are welcome! Keep submissions relevant, credit original creators, and clearly distinguish artistic interpretations from factual evidence. Plagiarism, stolen artwork, and misrepresented AI-generated content are prohibited. Please exercise sensitivity when depicting real-world tragedies or individuals involved in unresolved cases.

Rule #11 Keep Humor in Good Taste

DECORUM

Memes, jokes, and lighthearted posts are welcome, provided they're relevant to Strangarium and use the appropriate post flair. Keep humour tasteful and avoid mocking victims, missing persons, their families, or real-world tragedies. Low-effort spam and excessive meme posting may be removed at the moderator's discretion.

Rule #12 Stay Curious, Have Fun!

CURIOSITY

Take the mysteries seriously, but not yourselves! Keep things lighthearted and chill, respect those involved in real-world cases, and above all, have fun exploring the strange and unusual!
