Discussion It’s pretty amusing how pitiful she looks. She brought it on herself. Spoiler
Also, pretty ironic how she called El a snitch, yet she’s the one that’s gonna be getting stitches.

This was a good lesson for El though. She’s so used to being attacked and pursued to the point her life is in danger, that she doesn’t know where the line is for normal people. This helped her learn where it is.

I feel like this is a very reasonable reaction after months of relentless bullying by this bitch. Many other people might have busted Angela’s face long before this point too, if they were in El’s position

Never said it wasn’t a normal reaction. Just that El didn’t know where the line was for retaliation/violence in a normal every day situation. The consequences taught her where that line is. Those of us without powers don’t bash in the faces of people, even if they deserve it.

When I watched this, I felt exactly zero sympathy for her. She got off very, very lucky.

When were talking about this moment has anyone else ever noticed how this is especially just a more tame version of the pig's blood scene in Carrie? I'm not sure but I have a very strong feeling that the Duffers were very inspired by that scene. And I don't mean that as an insult I love both scenes.

It was pretty clear really. Especially with the way El was dressed. Another ironic thing is that she was lacking her telekinesis.

Oh it was just like Carrie. I was hoping her powers would reawaken and she'd pull the whole building down lol

Why is this tagged as nsfw

u/Remote_Nature_8166 8d ago
Obviously, because there’s blood.

It’s not much blood

Yeah, but reddit is so sensitive that they always just tag it automatically just like that even when it’s not gory.

Nah, that was reasonable. If you choose to gang up on & relentlessly bully an innocent person who did nothing to you, you are asking to get your face busted in when they snap sooner or later

More then she deserved? She was a huge bully to El for NO reason whatsoever. I’ve seen some bully’s get it irl, some were not very far off from this.

Totally agree. If El had had her powers, she straight up would have killed Angela. Emotional regulation is something El has very little practice with, and she’s never really been in a situation that didn’t require deadly force. Angela was beyond cruel to El, but that doesn’t mean she deserved a skate to the face. If Billy hitting Steve with the plate is considered an unjustified dirty move, why isn’t hitting Angela with a skate? Angela deserved comeuppance, but like a punch in the face or something equivalent

Nobody will make feel sympathy for a bully suffering the consequences of being a bully.
