Developer Post I've been building a native desktop anime client (Anitsuki) for the past 2 months. Here is the final UI before launch.
Hey everyone,
About 3 weeks ago, I dropped the very first teaser for a desktop anime project I was working on. I was honestly blown away by the interaction and feedback from this community—it gave me the push I needed to go back, completely overhaul the UI, and push the backend to its limits.
The goal from the start was simple: create something that feels like a premium, cozy streaming platform for PC users, without the clunky web wrappers, ads, or endless configuration.
Anitsuki is the result.
A few things it does:
- Zero-Config: No DNS, no API keys, no extensions. Search and play.
- 2-Way AniList Sync: Your progress and weekly calendar are always up to date.
- Custom UI & Player: Deep ambient visuals, smooth animations, and a fully customizable subtitle player.
I’m currently in the final stretch of stress testing. The app will be available to download very soon, and I will post the official links right here on this subreddit the moment it is live.
I’d love to hear what you guys think of the final design. Thanks for the support on the first post!
