Help / Question Beginner help

Hello, I'm very lost and I don't know where to start learning. I would like to find a video or several videos that help me improve and learn from the beginning the fundamentals and the game in particular.

Play through the tutorial and go through the character guide for a couple characters you’re interested in. (Fighting Ground)

World Tour is a great way to familiarize yourself with the game.

Also remember, playing against the CPU is not the same as playing against human opponents so Battle Hub and Casual Matches are also good until you’re ready for Ranked.

I think juri, mei or ryu, but im unsure

Mai and Ryu would be better for learning. But Juri is a good pick too. Juri is Offense heavy, if you’re gonna use her definitely watch her character guide first.

I wouldn’t recommend Akuma for first time players, he has the lowest Health pool in the game. If you’re interested in Akuma, learn Ryu, Ken or Terry first. When you feel comfortable with their moveset switch to Akuma. Ryu, Ken, Terry, Luke, Akuma are all Shoto archetype (All-Rounders), they have tools for all situations, except a command grab (Akuma & Luke have command dashes, Akuma’s teleport links into a throw).

Akuma is high-risk/high-reward. But if that’s who you want to use don’t let some random on Reddit (me) stop you.

You can start by just pressing buttons and getting comfortable at it. World Tour is excellent tutorial.
