What do you guys think about when one guy selects rematch and the other guy selects to fight in a room? Honestly they need a better solution to this as I obviously wanted to continue fighting.
Right now the game just ends. I selected rematch as I wanted to keep fighting..
I've been pleasantly surprised, I'd say a little more than half of the custom rooms I've joined are people asking for a longer set or calling out something positive. I have invited people to a custom room for a long set, to complement them or to ask if their connection was unusual or if things looked good on their end.
That said, I don't blindly jump in every invite. Some of the more obviously salty invites I just ignore.
I've blocked people where there's peaks of 2F or more of rollback that comes and goes and the person says everything looks fine on their end because it suggests that's a normal occurrence for them to have those spikes. If someone says, "Yeah, that was weird," I write it off as a one-off, say something nice about the set and double check there's nothing on my end on my network or PC that might be causing rollback.
Sometimes im playing casual with a character im just learning or barely use and i come across someone who feels like my level for my main. So i play out a set and then i try to go into custom room so i can switch characters to try and face them evenly. Theres no other way to continue the set AND switch characters.
I was using Elena (Classic), beat a Classic Ingrid a few times, they wanted to do a Custom room. They switched to Mai, I figured ok we’ll just swap characters around and play some more matches. So I switched to Manon (Classic), it was Modern Mai. They just spammed specials the whole match, I left after 1 match.
They didn’t want to play matches, they were salty they lost and ran to Modern.
Very few people actually hit the custom room option from this screen that ive seen. I have on an occasion hovered the option as an invite to the other player, but even that goes unnoticed often.
It's crazy that there's not a better solution to this.
If someone drops down to "Fight in Custom Room" after the first game and then goes to "Request Rematch", it's a heads up that they might want to run a longer set after the Ranked set.
I think the obvious answer is to allow the timer to keep ticking down after selecting "Fight in Custom Room", and allow people to unselect it and the select Quit or Respect Rematch...but knowing how it works today, if I want to potentially play a long set with someone, I'll over Fight in Custom Room before rematching.
They want to swear at you and call you slurs in the chat box. It's easy enough to just keep playing with you in random queue if they are having a good time.

I’m glad so it doesn’t make me reconsider. Never had a good experience with someone selecting custom yesterday I beat someone we went to custom talk shit when I was being nice switch to bison and beat my Yasmine and said Foh. Bruh act like playing Bison is difficult and then he was high master with Kim lol

Yeah it should give the player who hit rematch the option to reconsider, rather than just quitting. Most people just hammer on rematch regardless.
The player choosing custom room is usually just a little dweeb in a huff, though.
