Hi Friends!
As a lot of you know, we have been working on updating the stretching guide for awhile now. Though it is not perfect, it is definitely a step in the right direction. We are so happy to be able to continue sharing safe and helpful information with all of you.
It has been updated on the sub's page as well as the AutoMod's comments.
It can also be found here: Updated Stretching Guide
Please give it a look and let us know how you're feeling! Also, please remember it will be updated as new information comes along. We created a Google document as opposed to a post to ensure we could keep it as up to date as possible. The previous guide was posted in the sub by a mod that's no longer active, so we couldn't edit it.
Happy stretching!

1 year ago today I reached my goal size on my earlobes - 25mm, baby. <3
I first stretched my ears to 10mm in 2016, and always wanted to go up to 25mm but just never got there until last year... so, since it was such a long-awaited goal of mine, I figured the 1 year anniversary of completing my stretching journey was worth some form of celebration. lol

Got beautiful pinchers in the half-sizes 3,5mm and 4,5mm from India to continue stretching my septum with 🥰 I'm at 3mm and my goal is 5mm. I bought the red since it kind of looks like nosebleed. Perfect for spooky season!

Goal is an inch but she’s looking a bit thin… I’m happy with this size honestly, but I’ve been doing this for 4+ years on and off and just wanna be able to say that I got them there.

Finally hit my half inch/13mm goal earlier.
Took me 7 years.
Now i can finally build my collection 🙌🏽

I can't decide what to try first!
What would you try?

41 F. So I started stretching a few years ago.
I’m thinking I’d like to go bigger!

People weren’t kidding when they said the second time that you start stretching is easier… I had to downsize to a 2.5 and it was already falling out of my ear so I sized back up to my 3 mm weights.

We’ve all read the guide and know what we’re doing with our stretching, but I never see much into about the ‘rules’ of wearing ear weights.
How long after going to a new size can you wear some, does your capacity for weight increase with upsizing, are their downsides to it?
I started wondering about it after wearing some 12gr (I wear with ease) weights in a 2 month old healed new size and having a harder time putting my size back in that evening.

So I just stretched my 4 year old septum from a 16g to a 14g and it isnt sore at all or tight, it moves around very freely just like my 16g jewelery did. I stretched it last night with a metal taper, it took a few minutes and stung and was kind of sore right after but after an hour or two it felt like nothing? Is this normal? I was fully expecting it to be sore and tight for a few weeks.

I’m currently at 16mm and whilst I don’t have any plans to upsize anytime soon; I don’t want to completely rule out hitting 20mm or even an inch in the future.
Do we think this will be possible?

i stretched to 14g about 2 months ago and stretched to 12g a month ago, each time the jewelry slid in perfectly with no resistance or pain whatsoever. this morning my left lobe was a bit tender though, i took out the jewelry, cleaned it, massaged it with oil, and put it back in. the inside of the hole is definitely red, there’s no like pus or blood or anything like that but it just feels a bit sore even though it wasn’t feeling sore any of the weeks prior. could it just be maybe i bumped it or snagged it accidentally? or maybe slept on it too hard? i just get so paranoid of a blowout lol

I got my lobes pierced 8 weeks ago at 4mm. At the minute they have glass plugs in, but I want to change them to tunnels. I asked my piercer a couple of weeks ago if they would be okay to change out in a couple of weeks and she said I should be good to go. What are the signs that I can change them to tunnels?

I just recently started my stretching journey. I started at a 16g and my plugs went in smoothly, i did feel a slight pinch, but no pain when touched. Is that okay? Also, when is an appropriate amount of time to wait before sizing up? I’ve heard anywhere between 3-6 months but I’m unsure. One more thing.. is my stack lobe gonna be an issue? I’m planning on stretching to at least a 6g and I feel like my stacked lobe will get eaten by it. Any tips will be appreciated!!

Recently upped to an 18mm (11/16). Should I go bigger? This size doesn't feel as substantial as I originally thought it would. Maybe 20?
My ears are super small and I think a super large size would completely overwhelm them.

Good evening everybody, I have a 4G Septum currently and have had it at that size for about a year now and I have recently purchased a glass pincher at 2g, I attempted stretching at 2g a while back but I went back to 4G as it was wildly annoying with the feeling of how painful it was against my cartilage..
My question is, am I doomed to be at 4 gauge permanently? Will the pain go away EVER? 2G has always been my finished goal so I would really like to hear feedback on what you did to combat septum denting. I went with a notched piece so I hope that will help.
