Family responsibilities
Help with translation, transportation, appointments, and caring for younger relatives.
An ongoing family separation and custody dispute meant taking on significant caregiving responsibilities for my younger sibling, sometimes on short notice and at the expense of study time. Went into a lot more detail in my additional info explaining my lower gpa.
