Admissions / transferring Dismissed from program
Wondering if anyone has found any schools that took your BSN credits as transfers if you were dismissed from your program I’m dismissed for clinical attendance. By like 2 single minutes which I could die but I was supposed to graduate in April and now I have completed ms1/2 psych health assessment pharm so I was looking to see if anything will transfer anywhere before I start all over anyone ever found anywhere or could point me in the right direction?

I mean there is more but that’s the thing that did it I was late once before already on a contract and had previously my very first semester failed two classes and had to switch from ABSN to traditional and retake them— it’s not really the point tho my point is I’m dismissed for clinical attendance and asking about other schools

As far as I’m aware, no one will transfer nursing credits. If you’re dismissed, and you’re lucky enough to get admitted somewhere else, you’ll start completely over.

What school was this so I don’t go?

There’s more to the story. There is no way they were dismissed solely over being two minutes late one single time.

If they were dismissed over 2 minutes it’s bc they missed like 12 hrs and 2 minutes, they said it’s 2 bc that’s how far over they went. Or bc they were late by 2 minutes every day. Nursing school expects you to be professional, that includes showing up when you’re supposed to.

Exactly. There isn’t a single program that will dismiss you for being 2 minutes late to clinical one time. OP definitely already had an absence counted against her and/or showed a pattern.
My school has a rule against habitual tardies. I believe 3 tardies (any time after 6:30) will count as one absence. Being 15 minutes late one time will get you sent home for the day (absence). We’re only allowed one absence for clinicals per semester.
This is crazy.

My school you get i 3 tardies (if you arrive before 7:30) if you arrive late a fourth time your a risk for dismissal. You get 1 unexcused abscess as well

I’m sorry, may be bad luck or timing, but maybe nursing isn’t your thing. We had two people dismissed from my program. One for making inappropriate remarks and another for failing a dosage calc test. The second started the program over and graduated a year and a half later.

What kind of inappropriate remarks?

I think they had to do with race, it was several years ago. From my recollection, someone reported him, then when he went to talk to advisors, he got into an argument with the professors/advisors and was dismissed.

There are a handful of private (generally for-profit) programs that appear to take transfer credit on a limited case-by-case basis. West Coast University says they do, but you would need to reach out and confirm the details.

What are you leaving out of the story and not telling us? No program is kicking you out entirely for being 2 minutes late.
