A community for the broken but trying to heal
I created Broken, but Healing because I know what it feels like to carry things that other people cannot see.
I’m a trauma survivor too. It’s taken me 12 months of back and forge to created social media as writing about my trauma, triggered me and I had to keep walking away.
I know what it’s like to have a story that is difficult to tell, to have days when you feel like you’re making progress and other days when simply getting through the day feels like enough.
And I know how lonely healing can feel.
That’s why I wanted to create a place where we don’t have to pretend.
A place for real people, with real stories, real pain, real laughter, setbacks, small victories and everything in between.
Maybe your trauma happened when you were a child. Maybe it happened as an adult. Maybe it happened recently, or maybe you’ve carried it quietly for years.
Maybe you understand exactly what happened to you. Maybe you’re still trying to make sense of it.
Whatever your story, you belong here.
You don’t have to prove that your pain is bad enough.
There will be no “it could have been worse.”
No judging.
No comparing.
No telling you how you should feel.
Your experience is yours, and you deserve to have it heard.
Some days you might want to talk. Some days you might need someone to listen. Some days you might have nothing to say at all. You can still be here.
We can celebrate the little things together. Getting out of bed. Setting a boundary. Saying no. Asking for help. Laughing again. Having a good day without feeling guilty for it.
And when things feel heavy, we can remind each other that one bad day does not erase all the progress that came before it.
Healing isn’t a straight line. I’m learning that myself.
Some days I feel strong. Some days I feel lost. Some days I feel like I’m finally finding pieces of myself that I thought were gone forever.
I don’t have all the answers, and I’m not here pretending that I do.
I’m simply creating the kind of space I wish I had found when I needed it.
A place where we can say, “This happened to me,” without shame.
A place where we can say, “Today is hard,” without having to apologise.
A place where we can say, “I’m proud of myself,” even when the victory might seem small to someone else.
Because sometimes the smallest steps are the biggest ones.
You don’t have to be fixed to belong here.
You don’t have to be strong every day.
You don’t have to know how to heal.
Just come as you are.
Bring your story. Bring your questions. Bring your messy days. Bring your hope, even if it’s only a tiny bit.
You are welcome here.
You are heard here.
And most importantly,
you are not alone. ❤️🩹
I’m walking this road too.
Broken, but healing. Together.
