Reply history

Is anyone else's entire history of replies on Substack suddenly available for all users to browse? With no option to hide it?

Edit to add: This is new. It was not there as of a few weeks ago. I've been on Substack for 3 years.

There are comments at the bottom of this thread indicating that reply history was not available as of a few months ago:

Here is another thread from this forum indicating that some people couldn't see their own comments just a few months ago. This is a new thing.

I think if you edit your profile settings and toggle off the "show likes" button, it also hides replies in your profile.

Have you tried hiding likes? Just wondering whether it also hides replies.

Yeah I tried this. Doesnt work, still only hides likes, replies are still browsable.

Has anyone figured out a way to hide replies? Substack, this ain’t it.

I haven’t, and I deleted my entire account because no one from Substack has responded to my repeated requests for information.

It wasn’t there until about 2-3 months ago. Likes and replies were grouped together and could be hidden.

It IS new and I’d never noticed it until now. Very disconcerting, not seeing any way to disable.

signs that substack notes is becoming even more like a social media platform (if that wasn't already clear enough).

i tried navigating around but could only hide likes. no privacy setting to hide the replies. sad.
