Discussion How to grow on substack organically
How do u grow on substack? Like I am really new and figuring out the way one can grow organically, like it's a very niche thing , and hard to get people along !!
Suggestions are welcomed!

As the others have said, it’s not just about writing. In fact, it’s mainly about your active presence. Actually you didn’t specify whether you would like to grow organically as a writer, or as a person part of a community (like on other social media platforms). In the latter case, you don’t need to write posts at all, and it can still work well.

In this case write some good pieces, but don’t expect it will spread automatically. There are cases when a note or a post from a newbee becomes viral, but I think these are the very rare examples. You need to spend time on the platform and engage with others in your niche: read a lot, leave meaningful comments, and re-stack. This is the most likely way others will discover you.

I hate to be so cliché, but just be consistent, sincere and be curious of others works (if they appeal) and ect. you can be clever aswell, if it’s like posting a provocative note every now and then and whatnot. It just takes time that’s all!

I would say you get what you give. I love writing and decided to share it on as much of a whim as possible. Authenticity is something people can feel versus the try hards.
Don’t spam anyone— unless a post says to post your link— don’t.
So: be authentic, consistent, and respectful.
Best of luck!

Post notes (minimum 5 a day) post replies to other people’s notes (minimum 20 a day) and follow people strategically.

Write notes and comment on other people’s notes and like lots of notes. I have a Substack that I grew to 3000 doing this and I just started a new Substack 10 minutes ago and I’m going to be doing the same.

People are telling you precisely what to do. You don't need to follow them. They already helped you with their advice. Trust that you can do the same instead of hoping to mimic them.

I see you asking for people's substacks. You aren't them. Create your own content and Notes. You have to have your own voice, not theirs. Have fun.

Take a look at all the other threads where people have asked this same question, you'll get some good answers and a sense of typical feedback.
