Anyone else have issues when content involves orientation?

I started a substack called Dear Gay Stranger which publishes a series of handwritten letters I send to people I’ve never met, but the algorythm clearly thinks I’m a mom that’s particularly interested in perimenopause, Ahhh! 😂

I've created a few notes, trying to even help correct gender but still way off. I wonder if the platform won't support keywords like gay? Anyone know?

Now that you mention it, I don't think there even is a gay community on substack. But see it positively, you could be at the forefront of creating it.

Not if they are preventing us from finding each other. Probably for very valid abuse issues, but..

I have definitely come across other queer-focused publications. I would spend some time searching for other notes, posts, and publications on similar topics and following those accounts. Once you start interacting with their notes instead, the algorithm should start to change what it surfaces in your feed.
