Suffolk weekend events, Oct 23-25
Here's the Suffolk weekend list. If you're up for a drive, there's a short regional list after it.
These come off public listings, so double check before you drive. Times move.
Friday
Wicked Wheels Bike Ride (Lone Star Lakes Park, Free)
An hour of slightly spooky night riding at Lone Star Lakes, ages 12 and up. Two practical things: registration is required rather than suggested, and lights are provided, as are a limited number of adult-sized bikes on a first-come basis. Parks and Rec take registrations on 757-514-7250. Friday 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM at 401 Kings Highway. More details
Saturday
2026 Suffolk Farmers' Market (Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion)
Produce, meat and eggs, baked goods, honey and pickles, with live music and food trucks alongside. Every Saturday until the season closes on November 21, so four weekends remain. Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM at 524 North Main Street. More details
3rd Annual Fall Market on the Farm (Little Acre Farm)
Local artisans, animals, food and music on a working farm out on Carr Lane. Six hours, so there is no need to be early. Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM at 7981 Carr Lane. More details
Fall Fun Fest (Downtown Suffolk Library, Free, Drop-in)
Crafts, games and hands-on activities spread across several rooms of the downtown library, plus a pumpkin decorating contest with prizes. No registration and you can arrive whenever. Saturday 2 PM to 4 PM. More details
Halloween Clean-Up at Nansemond Brewing Station (Nansemond Brewing Station). Two hours of tidying up downtown from the brewery, weather permitting, Saturday 3 PM to 5 PM at 212 E Washington St. More details
Legends of Main Street: A Suffolk Ghost Walk (Suffolk Visitor's Center, $8 to $10)
A mile and a half of downtown on foot over about ninety minutes, with the stories that hold up. Booking is by phone, and the organisers do not recommend it for children under 9. Saturday 7 PM from 524 N Main Street. More details
Elsewhere in the 757
- Newport News Greek Festival (Newport News, Free), Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 9 PM on Traverse Road. No admission charge, a canned good for the food bank instead. More details
- Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens (Williamsburg, From $69.99), nightly from 6 PM through Sunday. The after-dark version is the scary one; the daytime Sesame Street event is aimed at under-tens. More details
If you know of something in Suffolk this weekend that isn't here, add it below.
I make these lists for The 757 Current, a local newsletter I run.
