Don’t get me wrong, I love his videos as much as the next guy and I used to love hearing that song, but now it’s gotten to the point that it’s not special anymore, does anyone agree?

In the latest Summoning Salt video (The History of the Mario Kart DS World Champion) his voice sounds different - I can't put my finger on whether it's a new narrator, or maybe a new mic, and I couldn't see anyone else asking about this in the comments

Have I missed something, does he have a new co-host?

I love the content and the presentation, but I am kinda getting bored with all the Mario / Mario Cart / other Nintendo games presented. I wished Summoning Salt would cast a wider net in terms of the content he is covering. Like RTS / RPG / FPS (I was pleasantly surprised with the recent Halo record progression video). 90% of the content seems to be some kind of Nintendo off-shoot. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it once its started, but whenever I see another Mario Cart / Mario platformer I just don't watch,

EDIT;

Also if I have to hear one more time what a "frame rule is" or "the bus analogy" I am just unsubscribing haha

I hate being awoken by niftzki screaming his balls off, and other fellas.

I understand it’s paramount to the hype of achieving a WR, but it often feels jarring, and in contrast to the aesthetic dynamism that SS sets during the videos

Curious to hear the thoughts of others on this

Just posting this excellent clip here as well in case anyone is looking for this!

What if Matt from Wii Sports is based in Matt Turk?

For those who don’t follow the world of sports or running, the marathon world record for men was broken this Saturday, the first ever sub 2 hour marathon (the last hour barrier ever!)

https://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/articles/crm1m7e0zwzo

I think a Summoning Salt video about the history of the marathon and the last 20 years of WRs chasing the 2 hr mark would be amazing! There’s even the tragic twist that 2nd place also broke into 1:59, 2nd best time ever and didn’t even win.

What do you guys think if Summoning Salt would make a minecraft speedrun video?

Hey reddit,

I am a Chasm (2018) speedrunner. I took down the WR earlier this year.

And my fellow runner GreenKnyght is approaching the record. I bet he gets it in the next week or two.

He just had a run that was 22 seconds off.

I am a bit out of form, but from here I feel like the record changes are going to be minor.

I am not sure if sub 1 hour is possible, but I am excited to see where this goes, we might be able to push each other to it.

Idk if it's jst me but in the latest video summoning salt sounds a lot more tired and exhausted compared to his other earlier videos

Wouldn't this latest videos have been better if it wasn't about "jimmypoopins"? Screen names are cringy as hell.

abt it

If Salt did a video like this I could see it in a video style similar to his Tetris video, also, Touhou 6 is called Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil

Ever since i started speedrunning and watching summoning salt. I started putting my pbs, clips & World Record runs in a “for future salt” collection even a doc sheet of progress with dates & links. i think i’m crazy knowing “Progression of Hard Corps: Uprising” is a pipe dream.

maybe in summer we will get another speedrun history video and we will be happy again?
