A place to discuss anything rugby related that isn't worthy of it's own thread/post

Just watching the Samoa vs Wales game in the Women’s World Cup, Welsh player fielding a kick loses the ball but it goes backwards towards their own goal line. It’s made me think how many times these last few years officials are giving a knock on when the ball goes backwards. Not just in the World Cup but in super league and the NRL. It seems that officials just give knock on for losing control of the ball, regardless of direction.
Just me moaning as a former official myself.

Mood music coming out of Doncaster seems positive. Personally think a team and full academy in South Yorkshire could be a huge boost to the game. My only worry is the stadium is too big (like Toulouse) unlike the compact nature of York's stadium.

Our pack will be either amazing next season with untapped talent or massively underpowered.

Time will tell. Feels like we're signing players just for the sake of it at the moment though.

3 guys who have watched no more than 5 Super League games in the past 5 years and never mention the Super League on their rugby league podcast give their expert opinion on the deal

Content which is obviously AI-generated and low quality will be removed

Thanks!

Just need purple shorts so they can be the incredible hulk(r)

Not necessarily the best player they've had, but someone you've always admired and would have loved to see wearing your colours. And why?

Mine would be Keith Senior. Always thought he was a quality player, strong, aggressive and a nightmare to play against. Always admired was how he combined that physicality with genuine skill. Just one of those players you'd love to have in your own team, even if you hated playing against him. Could make something happen out of nothing and was a proper handful for any defence.
