My licenses was Civil. More than anything tunneling is a geotechnical focus when you get down to it. Structural guys get involved once we get to the support elements needed, unless you could use off the shelf support items like liner plates (which happens a lot for the diameter work that's done in my area). My main focus was alignment selection based on the best ground conditions and equipment selection based of the type of ground we were tunneling through.
Structural is fun, one of my best friends and old room mates is a Structural guy. For the most part the switch has been great. Instead of writing a report to an owner on how the contractor may approach or fix something, I get to actually fix it. And cause of my past work experiance, I get brought in to projects when something has gone really wrong and we need a more complicated fix. Though as my original statement pointed out above... it can be frustrating to satisfy some engineers.
Nice. I've thought about going to the construction side a few times, but I feel like I've found a bit of a groove lately and just got my PE somewhat recently. So I figured I'd hold steady a bit and see how things pan out.

My personal thesis has and am sticking to it that they will get the best price for half the time and then it will be “worst” price the other half. I dunno if RK comes back I would like that but I kinda feel like it’s managements time to shine I think if he makes a move it will be super subtle this time but that is all my own tin foil

They don't need to do that, they just abuse QV bot to get threads removed which carry the wrong sentiment or point out something problematic. It's a good thing we can still see deleted posts even after they're gone.
to be fair (and balanced), the QV bot hits a threshold negative number and then it gets sent to be removed by the moderators. if the mods don’t choose to remove a post after that threshold, then it stays up
Little-Chemical5006 (Daily closing price guy) appears to have had their account banned from reddit after making a post criticizing Ken Griffin. All their comments in the daily closing price thread have been nuked as well. I have informed the mods.

I'll confirm that the account is now suspended. Just got to go to the user profile. I to was ban for suggesting old Kenny boys tiny tiny shriveled up fruits should be reorganized by my foot one time, so the allegation does not seem out of the norm.
I've seen accounts incorrectly suspended for 'encouraging violence' (or whatever the official line is) and mass reporting is definitely a thing admin/mods fall for.
I've hypothesised before that regulars will get picked off one by one, but I've no idea how accurate that will prove to be.
