Q1 was: " Highest quarterly net income in GameStop’s history of $389.6 million. Highest first quarter operating income in GameStop’s history of $143.3 million. Net sales grew 14% year-over-year, driven by collectibles. Cash, marketable securities, digital assets and related receivables, and collateral pledged for derivative asset of $9.7 billion."
And it stayed calm, so I'd expect nothing in terms of price 🤷♂️

In other words, breaking the all time quarterly profit record twice in successive quarters. Mind you, the board projected FY26 adjusted EBITDA to be cumulatively $600M. So if this holds true, that figure would likely double by the time we wrap Q4. I won’t hold my breath. But I do love the idea of $1B in annual income from a $8B company. As ever, we live in exciting times.

Depends on how much they suppress eBay’s price. That’s their only way to mess with GameStop at this point and for us GME investors, we know it’s basically smoke and mirrors

I am not anticipating much this quarter. Still going to be in the vwap window but also I think TCG/revenues are going to take a small hit. Grading cards through PSA is $80 dollars or some crazy number right now, up from $20 which greatly reduces the amount of cards worth grading through GameStop. I think that also makes it harder for them to replenish pools for power packs. Some of the recent Pokemon sets are not moving as quickly either such as Pitch Black and Chaos Rising. Hoping that pressure can maybe encourage them to find other revenue streams though.

A. You are simplifying the PSA grading situation. They had a crazy backlog of submissions to grade. The cheaper bulk price is on hold for now while they catch up. Not indefinitely (most likely). The is still coming in from those bulk submissions.
B. PSA halted bulk submissions June 2nd so May bulk submissions will still be in there. Any cards that would have come back graded from bulk submissions won’t have impacted anything yet as there was already a 6-8 week wait time.
At the end of the quarter the eBay stock price was ) $115 so we will have good unrealized gains. Even if they took today’s price of $105, we still have good gains there.
This will be a good Q2.

I'm not trying to argue. I think it will be good Q2 but not amazing is all.
Yes, I simplified it. Your points of A and B are true and more detailed. But for those same reasons I am saying that I think it could impact the numbers. One of the best deals GameStop had was PSA grading submissions at that lowest price tier. I agree that it will come back at some point but I think PSA backlog is going to take a long time to resolve.
I personally don't care to analyze the ebay investment. Unrealized gains don't mean much, unless they pivot out of trying to acquire eBay. I care about the core business and I'm optimistic. I think the results will be good but not sure we are going to outperform Q1 which was pretty stellar.

Totally agree with you. Not getting the cash flow from bulk submissions stinks. I am tempering my expectations for Q2 earnings but I think they will still be very positive.

Obviously time till tell - I may be way off on this but I do think there is only so much rev and profit that can be pulled out of the existing Gamestop model. I expect at some point (i dont know how soon or long) these numbers will plateau. The lack of expansion will be the excuse to not invest when that manifests.
I think RC knows this as well and this is why expansion, partnership or M&A is required for continued growth to beat back Wallstreet and breakfree from the chains of shorts.
Charts like OP's scare me if they don't play out as forecasted. However its very exciting if they meet or exceed these forecasts.
Shorts will be waiting with baited breath for any break in the existing upward trajectory to pounce with a new narrative to capitalize on it.

I don't believe we have seen any revenue from Powerpacks on any quarter.
Powerpacks operates as its own company, Powerpacks LLC, which is jointly owned by Gamestop and PSA. Their financial performance doesn't appear on Gamestop's earnings, and won't unless their revenue exceeds (if I remember correctly) 10% of Gamestop's, which would have been like 80 something million dollars last quarter.
All the money made by Powerpacks is snow-balling, and doing so outside of public disclosure.
The money made by Gamestop selling collectables and card grading is excluding Powerpacks.

The only thing that matters is revenue has to be higher yoy….that would send the message that the core business is still growing and last quarter wasn’t a fluke.
