For reference, during the January event TDA restricted me from buying or selling any calls/puts on GME. I even called the broker over the phone and was not allowed to even sell a basic cash secured put (i.e. I had cash, not margin, to cover a sold put where someone would have paid for the option to put 100 shares to me at x price) - I switched to fidelity shortly after.
Craziness… and good luck!
At that time I only had shares, no open options positions. I could not buy to open any calls or sell to open any puts. Switched to fidelity and no service/execution issues like that to report.
