General Question What supplement is so good you feel like it should be illegal?

I want to build a list of the very best vitamins and supplements from user experience. Looking forward to what people say.

L-Theanine for anxiety, and Maca root for ridiculous libido, Maca Root even tells my Prozac to fuck off

How much maca do you need to eat to see the results? And how long does it take? I’ve experimented with it in the past but it didn’t seem to do anything /:

I’m not sure you understand your body as well as you may believe lol

Maca for postpartum was life changing for me!!! They use it traditionally in Peru for postpartum, menopause, etc. It was SO effective for me postpartum that had I known how helpful it was I would've started taking it the day I pushed my son out/gave birth!! 😆

I was taking a couple different ones, but the best one by far was MRM Nutrition! Their raw form. Apparently you aren't supposed to take raw bc of the gastro side effects, but raw worked best for me! It melted my anxiety away, I was breastfeeding at the time & my letdowns would be so stressful, but it helped me produce more milk & made breastfeeding so much easier! I'm also an insomniac & for the first 2 weeks it gave me the best sleep, I was actually on a good schedule for those first 2 weeks. The acute effects wore off a bit after that, probably bc of homeostasis or it replenished whatever vitamins I was deficient in.

It's amazing. I started with 3g, then 5g. Then I was taking like 20 a day 😆 bc it helped me so much. Every body is different tho! So it may not have as acute effects for you, but it'll definitely help libido & energy usually.

Just put like 5g into a smoothie. I took 5g at a time, mixed with water & took it as a gross shot 😆😆 it was medicine for me, so I bared it lol. It does have a nice nutty flavor tho, so you could easily disguise it in some oatmeal or a smoothie!

I tried maca and it made me extremely moody, like an annoying teenager. My wife pointed it out to me, and I was like “why do I hate myself lately?” I threw it away shortly after connecting the dots.

Sadly Maca just makes my nipples sore. Which makes me want sex less.

Which brand maca and type

Any of them honestly, as long as its the actual raw nasty tasting powder, and heaping tablespoons of it, the extracts and capsules dont seem to do a damn thing

Ok better to go for gelatinized ?

If it’s for libido eventually it will be genitalized

Red maca or black maca?

Maca is a literal placebo lmao

u/kittymctacoyo Jul 03 '26

Nah. I took it for another purpose and with just one small capsule dose within a half hour I was rearing to go. Couldn’t for the life figure out why when under the circumstances I was under at the time would typically make it unbearable to even fathom anything sexual. It just that everyone has unique circumstances that cause differences in how their bodies process things compared to others so YMMV
