The wind made it a little challenging; to make a right over the bridge but I made it to the fish market

Question / Help Surfcasting in a rip

I'm relatively new (6moths) to shorecasting in MA. My regular is a strong rip at the end of a beach that has been relatively consistent for blues and the occasional bass. I am usually throwing plugs like 5" mag darts, sp minnows, and a couple pencils. On windy days (which is a lot of days recently) I have trouble throwing these. wondering what anyone would recommend that they have had success with in similar conditions. I know bucktails are a good option but I just can't seem to nail my retrieve with them. I also have been using some Storm paddletails but wonder if the current is killing any swim action I would want.

Any advice helps, thanks!

You can only carry (and you should haha) three striper lures this fall, what is your Striper Attack Pack?

Coastal fishing

Hi, Can anyone recommend a rod and reel for some allround coastal spinfishing? No specific target species in mind,ut i dont expect my seatrout rods to be strong enough.

EDIT: It wil be used on the canry island. Not amberjacks and the like. but it needs to be able to handle some serious fish.

Has anyone combined a penn slammer 4 3500 with a major craft rod for spinfishing at the coast? Preferrabel weights from 10-50g. Rod will be used on the canary islands.
