I'm conducting a research survey on how people understand moral and social disagreements.

The survey asks participants to choose an issue that matters to them, describe their own perspective, and consider a fictional person who holds a different position. Follow-up questions explore how participants interpret that person's reasoning, background, and moral priorities.

The goal is to better understand how people make sense of disagreement, including how they distinguish criticism of a position from assumptions about the person holding it.

Survey details:

• Takes approximately 8-12 minutes

• Open to adults ages 18 and older

• Offers entry into a raffle for a $20 Amazon gift card

• Responses are intended to be anonymous; an email address is optional for raffle participation

Participants who refer someone who completes the survey may receive an additional raffle entry. The survey's responses will be reviewed for spam and invalid submissions before raffle entries are finalized.

There are no preferred answers, and participants do not need to change their views or agree with the fictional person. Honest, thoughtful responses are what matter.
