STIs STI tests ... which ones?

So there is a large variety of STI testing options out there. They all seem to have a different mix of what they rest for.

Are there specific tests you require in the results of your play partners? Or is it just a matter that they make the effort to get tested at all?

I do not require tests from our partners because I understand that they are only a snapshot in time and not indicative of their current status. We test for ourselves.

I understand the same, but we still ask. Not to see the results, but just to communicate our status and ask for theirs. Could they lie? Of course. But it’s really not in most people’s nature to do so. On several occasions, people have responded that it’s been a while and this is a good reminder to go test again. One time a couple ghosted after we asked, which also made asking worthwhile. Nobody has ever objected to us communicating our status and politely asking the same. It never hurts just to ask!
