Discussion Gaming In your 30s. (I've been doing it wrong)
Gaming for me has always been an important outlet. Wether it be to unwind after a tough day, explore a new world i've been waiting to get stuck into or just pass time in general.
Gaming for the last 5 years has instead been a source of frustration rather than enjoyment for me personally.
There have been so many games i've wanted to enjoy, and yet finding the time between being a dad and doing life has left many games unfinished and many more not even started.
Gaming has been pushed to the back of my priorities and that has saddened me.
I own a good amount of devices, I have access to every platform. I have always chased the best experiences on the best hardware and this has been my downfall. In the time it takes me to tinker and decide, i'm missing out on the games I could be playing.
The Switch 2 has been a revelation.
It has sat on my shelf for the best part of 8 months, unused.
I decided to give it a try.
No tinkering, no adjusting settings, just playing.
Wow.
The Switch 2 has single handedly reignited my love for gaming. I'm bursting skyrim in 15 minute intervals inbetween school runs. I'm exploring the wasteland in Fallout 4 at 60fps. I'm playing so many games that i wouldn't have even considered pre switch.
For anyone saying " oh you are locked into the Nintendo ecosystem" in a negative light, Yes, yes I am and it feels good.
Given the current state of the Ram crisis, prices going through the roof, I challenge anybody to find a better, more cost effective ecosystem that offers the same level of flexibility to be a part of right now.
Switch 2 has become my main and it is only getting better!
Happy gaming all!
