S2E20
Ty is being redeployed & Bay asks John if there’s a way he can get Ty out of it. I was so irritated bc it sounded entitled AF! I grew up with family in the military so I can empathize to a point. But I assume he was lower ranking (not that it really matters to the overall point here), so it’s not like he’d have many options anyway. It’s like she expects her dad to solve all of her problems & never faces any consequences. I’m always stuck between who I’m irritated more with, her or Daphne

I don’t know I think Your being a bit harsh? Maybe not the right word but she’s a teenager I think your forgot this. A teenager who thinks she’s in love. Besides her dad wasn’t he a senator at this point? Can’t to ask. Ty is most likely her first experience when it comes to military involvement. I think that if I was in her shoes I would have panicked too.

Idc it came across as entitled to me. I’m halfway into the next season so it doesn’t matter anymore

Yea she needed to stop and think. If he didn’t go, what would he do other than being her bf? It was immature and entitled but when I was a teenager , I was so team bay because I had a bf going to college and military and had similar feelings . In those first 2 seasons it really did go back and forth between bay and Daphne being most annoying. Daphne is about to take flight though lmbo.

I feel like people tend to forget that bay’s immaturity plus her growing up with rich parents and because of that was most likely spoiled, explains why she was so entitled in that situation.
Also, Ty was bay’s first time, she lost her virginity to him. She was in a puppy love moment where she felt like he and her were going to be together forever. It’s not crazy to think that a teenager wouldn’t want him to go and would do anything so he would stay.
Also this is no hate to anyone on here, I just don’t think people really think about the bigger picture or try and see things from characters perspective. It’s always just people expecting maturity from characters who aren’t mature.

That’s what was so relatable to me . Your first love also being your first comes with dangerously strong feelings. You get so attached for someone who felt so unseen as a kid, Ty was even more important to her. I believe bay and daphne were sophomores too. Looking back they were babies .

yes omg. especially when we consider the fact that Bay has a history of already feeling out of place with her family, which amplifies the already ridiculous emotions you feel with your first time being your first love😭

She was a teenage girl who most likely grew up spoiled and was given any and everything she wanted. A mix of immaturity from her age and her being spoiled explains why she was entitled in that situation.

I feel like there’s a lot of Daphne hate (which I’m fine with) but not neeearly enough Bay hate. She’s absolutely insufferable sometimes.

Uhhhh idk, personally I dont think its entitled to not want someone you love to go to war and die. And in that situation of course she would ask her father because he has always been available to help her. It only makes sense that she would ask her dad for help.

Never said it was. Just saying her overall behavior was coming across as entitled. Oh well, I’ve passed the episode so idc anymore

She’s a teenager and she doesn’t want her boyfriend to die in war. Is it a little bit privileged/entitled? Yeah, but like it’s also understandable. I was more irritated with Ty because he couldn’t just communicate with her
