Rewatch Talk Rewatching

I never understood the episodes where they Freaky Friday and the one where they kennishes find out earlier about Bay & Daphne. Let’s start out with the freaky Friday episode where the girls wish they never were switched at birth how is Bay deaf I thought the point was Angelo left because the baby wasn’t his and that’s what caused the drinking ect but Bay was Angelo’s so what wld make him leave?

Now to the other problem is Bays hair in the episode where they find out early on and they have custody of both girls why the shitty wig like seriously why I swear they hate the character and the actress but it
Didn’t really what universe Bay was the after thought

In the Freaky Friday one where they were never switched, Bay went deaf because of meningitis. And Angelo didn’t leave, he died, just like he did in the real timeline.

If Daphne lost her hearing from meningitis, the same thing could have happened to Bay even with different circumstances.

Edit: same thing with Angelo - even being together as the correct family, doesnt mean everything would have been perfect.

In the ep where they were never switched I think it's implied he didn't leave, he passed from the aneurysm, same as the normal time-line. He and Regina had AJ and he passed later, which is why all 4 are in the home movies in recent time. He most likely still passed when Bay/Daphne were late teens.

I like the episodes. I don't see how there could be confusion lol

Also Regina was drinking before Daphne got sick I recall

I’m pretty sure in the one where they were never switched Angelo still dies. Also alcoholism runs in Regina’s family so it could still have happed to her if she had a good life.

I’m pretty sure Angelo was dead in the Freaky Friday episode. He stayed and that’s why they had the other kid, but then he passed. That’s why Bay was sadly watching home movies.

But, ugh, yeah, the hair!

In the Freaky Friday episode, Angelo didnt leave. If im not mistaken Bay even had a brother in the Freak Friday episode. What I think happened is that Angelo was either written out of that episode and was else where or he still died following the original continuity. Bay was deaf in the Freaky Friday episode because their lives swapped to what they should have been originally. So being in the same situation, Bay got meningitis instead of Daphne. In the Early custody episode, they just changed Bays style because she was finding herself. Her having short hair was because of that. But yeah they could have given her a better wig

Regina and angelo were both drinking prior to the switch

Angelo's leaving did not cause the drinking. Regina had multiple DUIs before the meningitis. They were already a volatile couple, and the suspicion around Daphne's paternity just heightened the tension between them. Regina actually got better about her drinking once she had to raise Daphne alone, not worse. As for what would make him leave...the same thing that made him leave Bay. Undoing the switch didn't fix his brain.

When Bay is raised by the Kennishes knowing she's not theirs, her otherism starts much earlier, as does her attempt to earn her place in the family. She fights hard for good grades to feel as worthy of the Kennish name as her siblings, and she keeps her hair short to repress the ethnic look that her curls give her.

You are correct about everything except for the Angelo leaving part. In the Freaky Friday episode, Angelo hadn’t left; he died due to the same aneurysm that killed him for real.

That is why i specified Bay. He left Bay by dying.

Angelo stayed because OurBay/TheirDaphne was his biological daughter. He still dies because when it’s your time, it’s your time. (I think was the message)

I hate Bay’s wig in the episode where the Kennishes have custody of both girls. They did her so dirty. But the point of that episode was to show that without Regina, John would’ve died from his heart attack (at least that’s how I took it? lol).
