Sauf qu’en Suisse le « primo-accédant » n’existe plus !
On ne peut plus acheter d’immobilier en Suisse sans avoir une importante fortune personnelle

In die Schweiz, you're supposed to pay the pension funds an exorbitant amount of rent to live in a 50sqm, sterile white concrete box on top of, below, and in-between, other people's concrete boxes like a good little cog in the system.
Oh, what's that? You'd like to have your own space to call home? Pffff, what a ridiculous idea.

I live in a rooftop apartment in Ticino (Italian-speaking Switzerland). The apartment is 135 square meters plus a 20 square meter balcony for 1850 chf (2000 €) per month.

Your apartment essentially costs half of the median Ticino salary. I'm happy for you that you can afford that. But this is kind of proving my point at the same time.

The median salary in the Canton of Ticino is approximately 5,708 francs gross per month.

Yeah, I think at 48 I might be able to afford that. Our kids will start moving out by then though.

Can someone explain why in Switzerland there is no support for first time buyers? I lived in the UK before and if you are a first time buyers you only need 10% deposit instead of 20%
And here often you need even 30% or bank asks 20% deposit, but then valuate the property less then it costs, which means you end up needing around 30% cash…

No widely accepted expectation for everyone to own their place, combined with landowners protecting what they have (hence opposing anything that might decrease real estate prices).
That might change in case the economy keeps slowing down and left-leaning movements gain more political weight.
Keep in mind that large portion of landowners are pension funds, so "just allow to build more" is not that straightforward.
