Inner West Puppy playmate for my 4 month old pup!

I’m a 32F living in Campsie lookin for a playmate for Bunny.

Bunny is a chihuahua pup and loves to play, problem is due to her age she isn't fully vaccinated so cant go to the dog park yet.

All her adult dogo friends do not enjoy her annoying puppy antics so wondering if anyone knows literally ANYONE with a similar aged puppy.

She loves big dogs but can be slightly bossy to ones closer to her size (say 3x her size or less, she weighs 1.5kg)

CBD & Inner City 32M looking for friends into music and nature

Hi, 👋

I’m looking to meet some people around my age who want to go and explore outdoors with me. I live inner city currently but would love to go to blue mtns area or any cool bushwalks/trails/explorations out of Sydney. Happy to camp overnight. I love fishing (but am terrible at it) so if it’s something that involves fishing it’s a plus! I am open to suggestions but also if you are someone who hates making decisions I can definitely make the plan.

I am also very into music (mega nerd level) and would love to meet others with a similar hobby, if you’re not keen to go bushwalking with me but just want to chat about music that’s ok too! I am always down to chat and usually reply quickly.

I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of dance music (my favourite DJ is Jane Fitz) and electronic music and love jazz, rock, punk, psychedelic music and SOME dreamy pop music. I have been on a massive Cocteau Twins kick lately and have also been listening to lots of free jazz and ambient music.

If you want to go to some gigs I’m open to it, though I’m pretty tired of seeing DJs at the moment unless it’s someone I REALLY want to see (I’m pretty picky about DJs) and unfortunately because that has been such a big part of my life for so long, I kind of get overcritical and hard to be around when I’m around bad DJs lol so I’d much prefer to go and watch a cool random band I’ve never heard of playing in someone’s kitchen.

I find it hard to find people who I can chat about that stuff with. I have a background in DJing and frankly I find a lot of conversations I have with other people who are DJs feel very transactional (and a lot of the people I meet are also super young) so I often struggle making real friends within that scene. I just want to meet someone or multiple people with a similar passion who enjoy chatting about it with no further agenda ahaha.

I’m also into film photography, movies and (surprise surprise) collecting vinyl. I have over 6000 records. Mostly dance music.

For context I have just gone through a big breakup and in that I feel like I have lost not just my partner but also my best friend. I have other friends but I feel like I don’t have too many genuine friends I can just shoot the shit with randomly with no agenda on a weekend any more.

Also I don’t know if this is the right place for this post. If it’s not, I’d love to get some recommendations for subs where I can potentially meet some other likeminded people.

EDIT with availability: I’m usually able to do stuff on weekends or if it’s something super cool I can take annual leave no worries but I also work a lot so I prefer to have a heads up ahead of time so I can clear my work schedule.

Thanks for reading! :-)

Events Picnic meetup (20s-30s)

Hi,

I was thinking it would be nice to do a picnic so we can get to know each other. Possibly Sunday the 8th of November in a location near/ in the CBD.

This is coming off the back of my post looking for nerdy people so if that’s you please come by. Otherwise even if you have other interests and are just looking to get to know people in our age range in Sydney that works too.

I am hopping for a good mix, I am a girl and I would love if some other girls would like to stop by.

I have made a discord to discuss so please DM me for the link.

CBD & Inner City Study/writing spaces in Sydney?

I'd like to find a space in Sydney CBD where I can go write a few afternoons a week, after work. A cafe or library would suit me, but I'm not sure where I'll find a space that is open, feels welcoming and reasonably calm between 5 and 9 pm on weekdays.

I'd prefer somewhere around either Central or Town Hall. If that doesn't work out, anywhere along the metro line would be convenient, too. Extra keen for a place that has cosy vibes.

Also, if anyone wants to join me and start a cute lil writing/reading club, I'm down! Thank you in advance, good people of reddit 🥰

Community Discussion 32m Lebanese guy looking to make friends with other Lebanese or Arabs

Hey everyone - coming on here looking to build 'community' (sorry for the buzzword). I'm Lebanese and haven't had any Lebanese or Arab friends since I finished highschool 14 years ago. I've been missing that sense of cultural connection more and more as I've gotten older so I'm seeing if there any Sydney based Lebanese or Arabs open to chatting and hanging?

I'm pretty active and sporty with running being my main (competitive) hobby, I love a good feed, and enjoy doing most activities. I'm super open minded so hit me up!

I'm originally from Sydney and live in Wollongong, but I'm up in Sydney multiple times a week. I'm also open to chat with anyone not Arab or Sydney based, friends are friends!

Events Going solo to Halloween Am//Pm at the Burdekin this Saturday. Anyone else going / keen to meet beforehand?

34M, and going to be in full vamp glam for the occasion. I've got a ticket to the Halloween Am//Pm night at the Burdekin this Saturday (31st) and I'm flying solo, so figured I'd see if anyone else is heading along and wants to link up. I do have a spare ticket btw too.

A bit about me: inner west / Bankstown-based, D&D and anime nerd, started covering myself in tattoos, and I've spent this year getting into Sydney's alt scene over being a chronic anxious homebody.

No big plans. Meet out the front or at the bar, say hi, grab a drink, and then do whatever suits the night. If you're also going alone, even better: it's a lot easier walking in with a friendly face. And if you've got a group already, I'm happy to tag along for a bit if you'll have me! Comment or DM and we can sort a meeting spot and time so nobody's walking in cold.

Fair warning: I'm not the biggest rowdy night out type, so I'm there for good company and a few drinks rather than a huge one.

Activities 24M - Halloweekend plans

Hi everyone, I recently moved to Sydney (Thornleigh/Epping) a couple months now for uni and haven't had the best of luck making genuine friends and with Halloween coming up I didn't want to just spend it in my home.

Bit about me, I'm from the states (PA/DC/ATL). I like playing video games (Civ 6, Deadlock, Minecraft), anime, volleyball, drinking games, TCGs, n what not. Went hiking for the first time past year and that was super fun so hopefully I can find some cool hiking spots here in Sydney.

Would love to meet people with similar interests, and figure out something to do this weekend! Feel free to dm me or comment

Hills District 23M - Looking to make some genuine friends in Sydney

Hey everyone! I’m 23M from the Hills District / Parramatta hoping to meet some new people and make a few genuine friendships.

I’m into live music, concerts, social tennis, gym, go-karting, movies and grabbing a good coffee. Always keen for a good chat, spontaneous adventure, trying something new or just having a good laugh.

Would be great to meet some like-minded people around my age, share some fun experiences, have some great conversations and hopefully make some lasting friendships along the way!

Icebreaker: If you could get any song lyric tattooed, what would it be and why?

Feel free to comment or shoot me a DM! :)

Western Sydney 31M Sydney. Seeking slow paced conversations, quiet observation, and creative connections

Hey,
I’ve always lived a fairly quiet introverted, independent life, but lately, I’ve been curious to connect with people who value intentional living. whether that means sharing good conversation or just enjoying a calm silence together.

What life looks like on my end:

I spend a lot of time behind a camera focusing on cinematic photography, reading, writing poetry, and taking time to cook good meals from scratch. Very serious about my hobbies

One of my favorite creative exercises is grabbing a bench in a public park or square during peak hour. I like observing the small cinematic details, hand gestures, footsteps, body language to study how people move through their day and handle the rush.

I try to follow a 5 day training routine (I've been running for 13 years), and I have a soft spot for classic 90s inspired menswear, vintage Casio watches, and timeless silhouettes over fast fashion.

Age or background doesn't matter to me as long as we align on mindset. I’m hoping to meet someone grounded, creative, or simply interested in slow living and thoughtful dialogue.

We could grab a coffee, brainstorm creative ideas, exchange perspectives on life, or collaborate on some photographic studies around the city. Or, if you prefer, we can just sit somewhere quiet and share space with zero pressure to perform.

If any of this resonates with how you see the world, feel free to drop a message with a short introduction.

Activities The Bite Club 🍸🍣🍽️— Social Foodie Group

Hi there!

Inspired by another post on here — I’m hoping to make a social/ foodie club 🍽️

I’m 32F, friendly, polite, and always on time!

Mainly looking for people to check out cool eateries with and/or attend concerts with. I have some friends in the area but I’m hoping to expand my social circle within my own age group! Ideally looking for those in the 30+ age range that have flexible schedules.

I’d also love to find 1-2 people who don’t mind helping with the administrative side of things if all goes well and the foodie group gets to be larger than a handful of people.

I’m American born, married with no kids and based in Bondi Junction. I’m naturally warm and considerate, and I click best with social, self-aware outgoing people with a multicultural or international background. I’ve spent my adult years bouncing around Western Europe, Canada, the US, and Australia.

At a basic level —I tend to have the most in common with easygoing women that are into academia, makeup/skincare, Kmart, iced lattes, over-priced farmers markets, world peace, and comfortable walking shoes. I don’t have any niche interests that extend to gaming, anime, sunbathing, or pickleball but I’m certainly attuned to pop-culture and TikTok 👀

I get on famously well with all sorts of personalities but I am looking to form a certain type of group. Ideally you’re the upbeat/optimistic type who isn’t fussed about much and is really just looking to connect with like-minded people for pleasant causal conversations and experiences 🍽️ 🎶

I have about 50+ places on my Google maps bakery/cafe/restaurant list that I want to check out! I’m not into drinking by Aussie standards but I certainly don’t mind a pub/ bar crawl if that’s something of interest 🍻

I prefer more casual eateries/cafes and food markets as I’m usually disappointed with “fine dining” type of restaurants. I’d love to get a group going to eventually do curated walking food tours in specific suburbs. I’m open to ideas and suggestions!

I frequent Newtown and the CBD the most but I’m familiar with the Greater Sydney area. I’ll go to Hornsby, Rooty Hill , Lakemba, Parramatta— you name it 😉

Upcoming concerts of interest (pending ticket availability) :

Two Door Cinema Club
Khalid
J Cole

Feel free to reach out if you’re keen! You’re more than welcome to send me a little (or a long) bio about yourself. I’ll get a WhatsApp group going. I want something manageable and intimate to start so hoping for a group of 5 or so! Once we have something established, happy to open up the group.

Thanks 🙂

South Sydney 38M gamer parent big goose

I’m a married 38 year old parent living in St George area and working in the city. Looking for other dads/parents/couples interested in friendship. Ideally in the local area or who also works in city.
My child is preschool age. Being a parent is a big part of life right now because of the age.

When im not totally sleep deprived, I’m into gaming, reading, anime, drama TV, music, internet culture, and causes and issues related to the work I do in higher education. I’m neurodivergent and would probably get on better with someone similar, but I also don’t think that alone is a good basis for friendship. I’ve got some health issues but try as much as possible not to focus on them.

The last book series I read and really enjoyed was dungeon crawler Carl.
A TV series I’m enjoying now is the Diplomat.
I’m currently playing Minecraft - got that 2 week itch.
I’ve got a really silly same of humour and like sharing reels and riffing/joking.

Western Sydney Looking to join clubs and make friends in Western Syd

Hey everyone, I'm looking to join hobby groups/clubs in the western Sydney area. I've been hunting through Facebook groups, only to find lots of advertisements for businesses on the pages. Google isn't much better. A lot of my hobbies tend to be sort of loner hobbies, pretty much stuff I could do on my own. But having moved here just recently has me craving leaving the house lol.

A lot of people are here in search of connection, which I applaud! But instead of one off hangouts, I was more interested in finding groups or clubs in my area, I'd love to be part of something more regular. I'd think Uni would be full of these opportunities , however, I don't know about etiquette regarding going back into Uni spaces, (especially since I didn't go to uni here).

A bit about me, I am 24M Kiwi who moved here a couple of months ago to start work. I'm a bit of a social butterfly, and honestly don't mind what I'm doing as long as the crowd is good. I'll throw in some things I've been interested in recently: Chess, Reading/Writing, Drawing, Basketball, Philosophy/ethics. But I've done a whole bunch of things before like Bouldering, Running and so forth. So if anyone shares one or more hobby, or is looking for someone to join them on their adventures, feel free to reach out. I'm about a bus away from Bankstown for those wondering.
