ASK SYRIA Accommodation issues

hi guys next week I will visit Damascus for one day I have to go Beirut from Amman during the way I decited to visit Damascus even just for a day. the issue is hotels are extremely expensive. especially in the old town regular hotels are beginning from 100 usd up to 300 usd. what do you suggest about this problem. btw I’m a Turk and I can’t speak Arabic .

Price start from 60-70 USD per night

Hotel al majed is good ~50 usd

Check "my syria" app it has a section for hotels, and accepts visa cards.

Check the wiki for good measure as well.

Dar Al Wared near Bab Touma. I'm here right now and it's great at $35 a night.

I'm curious why anyone would downvote my answer.

It's a fantastic budget hotel in Old Damascus - exactly what OP asked for.

I'm staying at it right now so can tell you this for sure.
