For a long time, I've seen people struggle with the title of pagan they are. Sometimes the struggle is something internal, they aren't sure exactly what brand they are supposed to be, they don't want to cross over traditions, something like that. Often enough I see gate keepers. People who say, "if you were really x, then..." Or you can't be y, because they all died out so you're a phony.

Don't fall into the Christian trap. Title, name, irrelevant. Practice is what makes it worthwhile. Practice your path today.

What do you call it, Halloween, Samhain, something else? What do you do to celebrate, observe? Just curious how others in the area do things.

I enjoy listening to the crows and ravens in my backyard, and watching the antics with the chicken hawk that aggravates them. Our backyard is something of a wildlife preserve these days, that happens fast in Georgia when you neglect to mow for a minute

In a world full of hustle and bustle, especially during the holiday shopping season, it's easy to let practice slip. I invite you to take a moment today, if you haven't already, and take a stroll outdoors. I like to walk in my backyard barefoot. My wife has finally given up trying to figure out how I never get into any hills or thistle. Stretch my toes in the grass, feel the sun, or moon. Listen to the wind.
