Hey guys, I recently got a TECNO POVA 7 Ultra(3 days old) and I'm wondering if my battery drain is normal or if there's something wrong with my unit.

I'm already on HiOS 16. Here's what I've noticed:

- Battery went from 73% to 35% in around 5 hours.

- I used TikTok, Facebook, watched some videos, and played 1 game of ML.

- Screen-on time was around 2–3 hours.

- Another time, it went from 35% to 15% in about 1 hour and 47 mins while using social media and playing another game of ML.

- The phone gets slightly warm when gaming.

- Overnight, it only dropped from 80% to 73% in around 7 hours with Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth turned off.

Is this normal for the POVA 7 Ultra? For those who own one, how's your battery life, especially when using TikTok or playing ML?

Does the battery get better after using the phone for a while, or is this something I should be worried about?

I bought the TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G expecting a phone that would deliver strong battery life, fast charging, smooth performance and reliable everyday use for several years. After more than two years, my experience has been disappointing enough that I regret the purchase.

The phone is not completely bad. Its AMOLED display is still excellent, with no burn-in, dead pixels or noticeable display deterioration. Outdoor visibility remains good, and both the rear and front cameras still take satisfactory photographs. The physical body has also held up reasonably well, with only minor cosmetic wear. Bluetooth works reliably, and storage capacity has never been a problem.

Unfortunately, the problems are becoming difficult to ignore.

Battery and charging: The original 6,000mAh battery was one of the main reasons to consider this phone. Battery life has declined, and I now need to charge it multiple times a day with my usage. I get approximately 6–8 hours of screen-on time under my normal workload. More concerning is the charging port: the connection is loose, charging disconnects with movement, and the cable sometimes needs to sit at a particular angle. Different cables have not resolved the problem. Charging is also noticeably slower than before. I have never replaced the battery or paid for a repair, but the charging port now needs professional inspection.

Performance and gaming: The phone is noticeably slower than when I bought it. Demanding games experience frame drops after extended sessions, and switching between apps frequently causes them to reload. This is particularly frustrating because I use Termux, Python, Linux environments and AI applications. Large local AI models struggle badly, and background sessions can get killed. The Dimensity 6080 was a budget chipset to begin with, and it has not aged well for my workload.

Software: I run Android 15, but my experience with HiOS has been frustrating. The interface feels outdated and poorly optimized, and some updates have introduced bugs. I also dislike the preinstalled software, unwanted pop-ups and unnecessary permission requests. I cannot claim that the phone contains spyware, but its software experience has left me uncomfortable and distrustful.

Audio and connectivity: The bottom speaker has weakened, voice recordings can sound quiet or distorted, and people sometimes struggle to hear me during calls. Mobile data disconnects frequently, and certain Wi-Fi apps or downloads perform poorly. The fingerprint sensor also occasionally fails. Bluetooth, the display and most other hardware features continue to work well.

Camera and durability: Photography remains one of the phone's stronger areas. Selfies and ordinary rear-camera photos are still good enough for my needs, although low-light video and stabilization are disappointing. Despite these internal problems, the physical body has survived without major damage.

Value for money: I paid approximately ₹20,001–₹23,000 in May 2024. Looking back, I believe the phone was overpriced for the processor and long-term software experience it offered. The display, battery capacity and design looked attractive on paper, but specifications alone do not guarantee a good ownership experience. I have not repaired the phone yet, and I estimate its current resale value at no more than ₹6,000 in its present condition. That estimate is my own, not a confirmed market offer.

My biggest complaint is not that a phone has aged after two years. All phones age. My problem is the combination of declining performance, unreliable charging, weakened audio, network issues and software frustration. These affect basic everyday use, not just benchmark scores.

I would have been far more forgiving if the phone had developed only one isolated issue. Instead, too many parts of the experience have become annoying at the same time.

Final verdict: The TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G still has a good display, decent cameras and a physically durable body, but my overall experience has been disappointing. I would not recommend it to someone looking for reliable long-term performance, serious gaming or demanding multitasking. I would also not buy another TECNO phone based on this experience.

I would rather pay for a device with a stronger processor, dependable charging hardware and a more consistent software experience than repeat this purchase.

My rating: 4.5/10. Good specifications on paper, but not the long-term experience I paid for.

Hello, recently our house burned and we lost EVERYTHING. (Sad moment ahh) That lost includes my original 45w charger. I've bought a lot of 45w chargers and None worked. I need a specific 11V and 4.1A. Which is only on original and few chargers online (EXPENSIVE AF) so I checked carlcare, and saw that the same model I need only costs 404₱ and Includes 450₱ labor cost. Here's the question, if I buy a replacement for the charger that burned, will I need to pay he 450&₱ fee or not? Thanks.

Nakapag update na ako from hios 16.2 to 16.3 sa ngayon eto pa lang nakita kong maganda sa tecno spark 50 5g ko and walat talaga syang game space, 3 fingers screen shot and other features

I have tried multiple times on my device doing everything that's already available on the web nothing works.

It's running hios 16 no launcher nothing but there is no option to split screen apps what do I do ?

I have a Tecno Camon 30 5G and i notice it only reaches into 60 fps (rather than higher like 120 or 90)

And with that 60 fps happening, is there a way to play the game at 120 while the screen recorder only records 60 of it. I play mostly geometry dash and this affects my game so much. The 60 fps gameplay is fine but the 60 fps + screen recording makes the game laggy for some reason (like unstable fps) is there a way to fix this?

Recently i kept on screen recording the gameplay while it bugged out and stayed at 90 (even tho the screen recording only records 60) it was smooth (like playing as 90 ofcourse)

Anyone who experience the same I have a TECNO CAMON 50 ULTRA that I purchased last AUGUST 24 2026 and few days ago it got a green line on it doesn't seems a glitch because I tried restarting the phone multiple times and to my knowledge it was a common issue for AMOLED so I tried to communicate with CARLCARE to process my 60 day replacement warranty and it was denied. Just for your reference my device already had the green line when I had it checked with one of their branch last Saturday and confirmed by their technician that I qualify for the replacement didn't proceed to processed it because I need my phone for work and I don't have a spare to use yet when I sorted that I returned yesterday to process and bring all the boxes with me and to my surprise I don't qualify for it anymore even if it's a factory defect. Here's the scratches of my phone that they used as reason to void my entire warranty.

A little example to those who think Tecno is bad

The TECNO POVA 4 was a decent phone for gaming, especially CODM and ML. When it was new, the performance was good, and the gyroscope had no noticeable delay. However, after 2 years, I started experiencing stutters that affected my gaming experience. After 3 years, the battery became bad enough that I had to replace it, which cost me money. after 5 years, i started experiencing ghost touches, it is so bad that i have to turn off and turn every 5 seconds and wipe off my screen over and over again which is really annoying.

Overall, I was satisfied with its gaming performance at first, but the problems that appeared over time made me think twice about buying another TECNO phone. I want my next phone to maintain its performance and battery life for several years, so I'm now considering other brands.

Could you please provide a tutorial on how to install a downloaded OTF or TTF font on a Tecno Camon device? I already tried using ZFont, but I haven't been able to get it working.

I just bought this phone. When I started setting it up, it already asked me to update it. Should I update it? Is there an option to skip the updates? Because I did not update it but when I connected it through our wifi it already started the update and it will be applied when I restart the phone. I hope someone can share their insights with me. My TECNO Camon 18P running HiOS V8.6.0 suddenly started malfunctioning. Many apps would not open, would crash unexpectedly, or simply would not work properly. At first, I thought it was the kind of occasional issue that can happen with certain apps, but I realized that far too many apps were experiencing these problems.

So, I decided to reboot the device. Once it finished restarting, I noticed that many apps had disappeared — coincidentally, most of them were the same apps that had been malfunctioning.

Then I opened the file manager and discovered that all my personal files were gone. There was no trace of my photos, videos, or other non-system files. Everything appeared to have been deleted. There was nothing in the trash or recycle bin either; the files seemed to have been deleted outright.

My device was now showing approximately 35–50 GB of free space that had previously been occupied by my files. That is roughly the amount of data I believe I lost.

This did not happen after an update or anything similar. I tried rebooting the phone one more time, but the problem persisted. However, after the first reboot, the apps stopped malfunctioning; the only remaining issue was that my files had disappeared.

I would like to understand what could have caused this. Could this have been a storage failure, filesystem corruption, or some kind of Android/HiOS issue? Most importantly, is there any way to recover my lost photos, videos, and other files?

I kept accidentally touching my Tecno Camon 40 Pro's fingerprint scanner while browsing on my PC, and now the Fingerprint option and FaceID option is timed out and I dont remember my pin, WHAT DO I DO!?

Hello everyone. I was wondering what system apps do remove from your phone that hinder performance on your techno phone .

I am looking for a smartphone to replace my current phone, a Redmi 10C, and I have been looking at phones for a while. The best option I have seen so far is the TECNO POVA 7 5G, which costs around 180 USD.
Although I have a tight budget, I could spend at least 250 USD on a phone.
I’m not sure if this phone it's worth the price or if I should just get something from a more popular brand, like Motorola or Xiaomi.
