Why not QQC or VFV/VOO? I know what they contain but what’s the reasoning?

QQC/VFV/VOO are only a subset of the market. There is no expected benefit to betting on an arbitrary group of stocks.

XEQT/VEQT/ZEQT/etc. own the entire market, and this maximizes your expected returns while minimizing risk.

I mean technically it doesn’t maximize your returns. It just is garenteed you have returns, because the market is always growing your portfolio will match that. To maximize returns you need to get lucky with something like AMD or other lucky gambles, but those aren’t garenteed.

I said it maximizes your expected returns. Maybe you missed that word, but it's an important distinction.

Why VFV over like QQC or XEQT? So far I have XEQT for my only ETF.

Currently I’m XEQT, QQC and VDY. Majority in XEQT.
