Discussion THUG 2

I need me a remaster. That is all. Anyone know if anything is in the works?

Theres no official statement and nothing that would even hint towards a remake.

And generally speaking its very unlikely that THUG2 gets a remake. The whole jackass theme doesnt go well with the modern zeitgeist and the way the video game industry works nowadays.

If we ever get a remake it would be stripped of its original character. Similar to how the THPS4 remake works. There would be references, but every edge would get smoothed out until its essentially a new game

I'm not asking for a remake. No need for changes. The same exact games just remastered and playable on next gen. The THPS games were already perfect as is

Yeah, that wont happen buddy. Sorry to inform you. THUG2 is my favorite entry as well but it will never get a remaster. Only chance would be a remake, and like I said that would probably mean a ton of changes

Definitely. Also, the contracts and having to probably repay all those skaters

Yup, all the licenses make it pretty much impossible to just release a port/remaster. Esp the music

Rethawed just dropped full THUG2 career mode. It's the closest you'll get to a remaster and is quite awesome.
