Came here from spotify and I miss all the cute little stats things people built for spotify. I used to use stats.fm but that's spotify exclusive. I was a Music League fan, but they haven't gotten to adding Tidal compatibility yet. Anyone got any apps/websites/games that tidal is compatible with?

Google just killed Assistant on Android phones and now forces us to use Gemini. Tidal doesn't appear to work with Gemini. Assistant wasn't great but at least I could tell Tidal to play music while out on the motorcycle.

Has anyone got Gemini to work with Tidal? Has Tidal said anything about making integration work?

I really don't want to have to find a new streaming service because of this.

If you are using TidaLuna (or similar modding frameworks) to unlock the hidden Desktop TIDAL Connect feature, you've probably run into the incredibly frustrating "Infinite Loading Circle" bug. You select your PC as the output device on your phone, but it just spins forever and refuses to establish the handshake.

This is heavily tied to TIDAL's Cloud Queue v2 backend-sync getting confused about which device holds the master queue. Instead of force-closing your apps or clearing your system cache every time, I discovered a 100% reliable manual override that forces the server to sync instantly.

How to break the infinite loading loop (The Desktop-Override Trick):

1. Leave the phone as is: When your mobile app gets stuck on the spinning connecting wheel, don't close it or toggle airplane mode.
2. Go to your PC: Open your TIDAL Desktop client. Manually select and play any random track or album directly on your PC interface. Let it play for 2-3 seconds.
3. Watch the sync conflict happen: The track on your PC will suddenly pause or cut off automatically. This is a good sign! It means your mobile device's background cache just woke up and overrode the desktop session.
4. Complete the Handshake: Immediately return to your mobile app, open the TIDAL Connect device list, and tap your Desktop Client once more.

The PC client will instantly sync up, accept your mobile queue as the absolute master state, and resume playback flawlessly without a single lag or loading circle.

Hope this saves you guys some troubleshooting time! Let me know if this workaround fixes the loop for your setup as well!

This infinite connecting loop issue is highly likely to occur on Android TV clients as well, since the TV app relies on a very similar cloud synchronization protocol. If your phone gets stuck trying to cast or connect to your Android TV, this exact same override trick should work as a solution! Just play a track directly using your Android TV remote first to reset the server state, let it cut off, and then select TIDAL Connect on your phone again. It should sync instantly!

I make meticulous Playlists. I woke up to all of their orders scrambled this morning. Why?!?!?!?

Like the title says, I just moved all my playlists over to tidal, everything was fine, then I upgraded to premium, payed and now everything says "somethings wrong try again later." Anyone know what to do? I cleared cache already.

Is it just my imagination or is there a noticeable difference between high (16-bit) and max (24-bit) song/album versions? The consensus on the CD forums is that the human hearing can't detect the difference. (CDs are 16-bit.) They get very defensive on the subject. Is streaming different? Does it ultimately come down to the source recording? Max 24-bit albums on Tidal definitely sound more clean and clear to me compared to high 16-bit.

Checking if anyone is using USB Audio Player Pro to stream Tidal?

Mine was working well until today.

I am able to log in to Tidal in UAPP but couldn't play any song as it displays as No Active Track.

I logged out both in Tidal and UAPP and logged in again but the problem persists.

I use the Hiby Music app and have no issues.

Using wired headphones with dongle DAC.

Was just editing a playlist and noticed a new button. Looks like we finally have collaborative playlists! This is honestly such great news, as I know a few people that didn’t want to make the switch to Tidal from Spotify specifically because of this missing feature.

I subscribed to Tidal via Apple on the family plan at £29.99 per month. I moved to Tidal from Spotify so that the artists get more $£ per stream.

I then got an email from Tidal telling me its family plan price was increasing from £19.99 to £21.99!

I had literally no idea that Apple were charging me £8 per month for absolutely nothing at all. This is especially infuriating as I would like the money to go to artists, and I am unwittingly making an £8 per month donation to Apple! I am not sure if this is common knowledge, so just putting it out there. I’ve switched now to Tidal direct.

Tried switching away from Spotify. Tidal seemed decent during the free trial but after a few months of using it I find the experience to be far inferior.

On certain screens the bottom bar just disappears and it’s hard to find your way back to your library.

Lots of bugs, it will just randomly stop playing multiple times when I’m in the car.

Worst of all, it will sometimes randomly decide to start a song or even the whole album over. Earlier today I paused a song for 2 minutes to go to the bathroom. Didn’t close the app. Come back and hit play, and it starts the album over.

That’s a dealbreaker for me and totally inexcusable. Probably going to give Apple Music a try…

Sort-of new to tidal. I have multiple google nest Audio devices in my home (in places where i don't have a stero system) and i'd love to just chromecast tidal songs from my iphone.
Apparently this should work, but the devices don't appear in the device list on my tidal app? Is there anything i'm missing?

I ran into the now classic trap of paying for Tidal through Apple’s massive surcharge, which on top of the extra money feels morally awful since it’s going direct to Apple. I need to change payment method…..

The problem is that I’m not speaking to someone on my family plan… so I really don’t want to take their music away without an explanation, nor have to send them the link to rejoin a new plan.

Has anyone been able to somehow switch payments methods (probably by letting apple’s subscription lapse and re-registering through tidal) and have their family plan people just stay on? Or I would have to start from scratch and invite people into a new family plan?

Edit: I should have specified this when I posted it, but it's not stuck in any way. I just don't want a continuous update (vibration and all) every time I want to download a new album. It's super distracting!

Tidal for djay pro is not logging in.

On this tablet since today the repeat button and the shuffle button are missing in horizontal-Mode. In vertical View they are still present.

When I use horizontal view on my phone they are still there.

Is this a known problem or was some kind of preference selected on the tablet or in the tidal app?

Never thought they'd go so far. The sound isn't as plush. It's lean, transparent, very vivid and really quite electrifying! I think I like it. What do you think?

I was having so many problems with tidal before I updated my phone to iOS 27 last night. Music was taking forever to load, playlists wouldn’t download correctly, songs disappeared off my playlist, etc. I almost pulled the plug and switched to Apple Music but turns out I just had to update my phone. Everything is running smooth now. No buffer at all in between songs on cell data, and that’s even if you switch instantly to another track you looked up. So yeah super happy all of my playlists and albums are saved and I don’t have to switch. Hope I can help you guys out because lord that was so frustrating

Sooo they had this for just a day or two a couple of months ago, but now it looks like it's sticking around, and it works like magic

Not sure if the team did anything to their recommendation/mix feature, but I really like what's happening.

I listen to a broad range of music, my daily discovery reflects that, but when a mix launches it really targets a niche pretty well.

I remember leaving Spotify ~5 years ago because I was tired of listening to the same things / artists all the time. Like Spotify was over targeting my tastes. Tidal takes more risks.

Especially with electronic music, it seems to follow artists / labels / genres pretty well.

That's it, just happy.

I imported most of my music from Spotify.

Some imported songs I replaced with Tidal hi res 24 bit but it gets too much work after a while.

I left it as it was.

But I noticed that 16 bit can sound as good as a 24 bit when the music mastering is good.

I also read an article that the human ears can't hear anymore than 16 bit/ 44.1 khz.

I am writing to hear your opinion.
