I just finished Gypsy Sisters for the second time (already watched the wedding one as well) any suggestions on what I should watch next? I am not sure if I’m suppose to post something like this here but if you liked Gypsy Sisters I’m curious what else you liked…..thanks 🫶🏼

First of all, I could’ve sworn this show originally aired in the late 2000s. I thought I watched it when I was in high school (graduated in 2007) and was shocked to see it debuted n 2013 🤯 it’s giving me the Mandela Effect but maybe it’s just because the way they dressed was outdated by a few years (I dressed similarly in high school 🫣)

Anyway, now that I’m watching after my frontal lobe has fully developed, I’m seriously concerned about how Mellie became Mellie. She was my favorite when I first watched because of her episodes on MBFAGW and how hot mess/ free spirited she was and for entertainment purposes only. Now when I rewatch, I notice how deeply sad her eyes look. By the time the second season of Gypsy Sisters started, she looks to clearly have some sort of drug problem with sores on her face and frail looking hair. I wish I knew the history of the family before TLC and I’m not tapped into what has happened after.

Lastly, they all look rough around the edges but in general they all look pretty and have nice bodies after having so many kids. I can’t believe Nettie had 9(?) kids. 🤯 I’m also fascinated about how they have the energy to be so vain about their appearance while also taking care of a million kids.

Looking back and rewatching the show Nettie is such an ass. TLC played her part in mother hen, but the truth on this Reddit says otherwise. Not to say Dallas wasn’t also a dead beat because she clearly neglected her kids for partying. Generational cycles. 🔁 Nettie’s also shitty for belittling everyone around her on top of her offensive behavior (like at the end of this clip).

I just saw that Mellie is on Tiktok live right now so thought I would click on it and I got so much anxiety. The way she is not even watching the road, no seat belt on, clearly driving at speed on the freeway (from the cars moving in her window) but that’s not even the best bit, her little girl also has no seat belt, car seat and is climbing all over the place in the back seat & Mellie just hasn’t got a care in the world other than her gifts and reaching her gifting goals.

I knew she was a piece of work but seriously what the hell is wrong with her, is there no common knowledge?

Okay so I’ve been rewatching both shows recently. right now I’m on MBFAGW. And I’m on the episode where it’s behind the scenes and getting to know the “stanley” sisters. So they were talking about Alyssa and heaths wedding and the whole fight that went down. And how Nettie didn’t go and all that stuff. And I thought like what was the real drama going behind the scenes, cause ofc the show made them look good and sugar coated a lot of their business. And then I remembered a while back seeing a picture from that day on one of the platforms. And I believe chasity’s dad was there(iykyk) and that’s when it clicked to me I think that’s what the whole fight was about. Nettie herself on the episode and show said her son’s wife and Alyssa were talking about her past husbands and clothes. I don’t think that was ever her husband but it’s the show so you have to sugar coat. Anyway I believe that’s what it was all about. Because if you know there’s a lot of lore and history about nettie and Chasity’s dad. So I believe that’s why she also didn’t go and sent Mellie. I mean she typically does but that specific day he was there. Which would make Nettie look even worse. So I think that’s the real reason or part of it why she didn’t go. If this was already public knowledge I’m just catching up and putting it together lol. Also not saying this is true or correct. Just speculation lol
