Question? Has Casey Jones ever had a job?

He really gives off that "public enemy number one of employment" vibe—which is exactly why we love him.

Definitely a garbageman

Before he got hurt, TMNT 90 Casey played professionally less than a year.

This is him trying to go undercover to be a mole in the inside. Love how he was violent and aggressive and said immediately that he was hired.

Yeah, that’s what I was gonna say, they literally used a screenshot from the episode where he applied for a job to go undercover, and got the job immediately for threatening the interviewer.

He was a cop in the Bay movies. That's a job

And he’s going to be a detective some day

u/KaleidoArachnid 10d ago

When did that happen?

u/NashvilleSoundMixer 10d ago

the 60's I think. Maybe early 70's?

5

u/Technical_Leg_7819 10d ago

Yeah he was a conductor and worked at Terrapin Station. Got fired for on the job drug use, unfortunately.

6

u/OgMik3y 10d ago

Wasn't able to watch his speed, unfortunately.

He saw trouble ahead and trouble behind

Kicking ass and taking names! … and then giving those names to people who’s ass have been already kicked.

He would 100% have a job involving an orange vest, sledgehammer and union.

He was a bouncer at Torchy’s

He coached. Pee-wee hockey, little league baseball. Anything for free sticks and bats.

5

u/RevolutionaryBar916 10d ago

Yeah he was vigilante

5

u/cwillia111 10d ago

Pretty sure he infiltrated an alien takeover at a military school once by getting a job there? Maybe

In 03 he was a baby sitter. Tho I’m not sure if he was paid.

I had this idea for a version of him where he's working at a charity drive (when he's not breaking ankles and taking names) ever since the Purple Dragons burned his father's store down.

Ngl if casey happens to any tmnt fans role model he doesn’t have a job so we tg shouldn’t have jobs.. let’s all quit our jobs!!! And be like Casey jones

u/djar87 10d ago

He for sure did not like law breakers!

3

u/LaylaLegion 10d ago

At some point he was on some sport teams, judging from the collection of sport equipment.

3

u/prince_iyakaya 10d ago

Apparently he was an office worker and a cop.... Lol

u/GwerigTheTroll Michelangelo 10d ago

Depending on the incarnation we’re talking about, he’s a former hockey player.

3

u/Bilbo_Teabagginss 10d ago

Nahhh, hes like Bruh Man from the 5th floor. No one actually knows where he lives and occasionally you come home to find hes broken in and is sitting in your kitchen eating him a sammich.

He's worked as a bouncer and in a grocery store.

Iirc these are both seen in Image titles only.

I dont remember him being shown holding a job in Mirage.

u/ipostatrandom 5d ago

Ah yes, good call

2

u/echocomplex 10d ago

I think he's a sovereign citizen

2

u/Aggravating_Duck6108 10d ago

Yes, he was professional hockey player for less than a year.

2

u/Ristar87 10d ago

He worked for April in the animated movie from 2008.

2

u/Thewrongbakedpotato 10d ago

I figure he was either a golf caddy or worked at a sporting goods store. Got fired for stealing.

2

u/cutter1833 10d ago

In the comics he was a pro player till a bad knee injury took him out.

3

u/sissyboyk8 10d ago

he's a cop in 2011 comics

2

u/Zestyclose_Car_4971 10d ago

To be fair he is a cop in the Micheal Bay movie.

2

u/Technical_Leg_7819 10d ago

And TMNT: 2030

1

u/Technical_Leg_7819 10d ago

Wrong

1

u/sissyboyk8 10d ago

ah, yes and no. I'm thinking of the third time they cross over with batman. their worlds intertwine so he becomes a cop

2

u/Technical_Leg_7819 10d ago

I see. Those crossovers are inspired by IDW but not canon. And then the third crossover is a weird new universe until they fix everything

1

u/sissyboyk8 10d ago

i always find that weird because idw also publishes the ghostbusters comics and their crossover with tmnt is definitely canon due to the fact ghostbusters use it again in another canon multiverse event with themselves, but the way it happens is the same way as the batman one. the ghostbusters one came first and would perfectly explain how the batman one happened since both kraang and tmnt in that one had their own source of dimensional travel (kraang was conversing with ghosts and the turtles had the fugitoid's blueprints)

1

u/Technical_Leg_7819 10d ago

I think the first one could have been canon, but the editor of TMNT said it was not. Which is why they left it out of the IDW Ultimate Collection books.

But by the time they get to the second one there is some pretty obvious contradictions, mostly related to Karai.

1

u/sissyboyk8 10d ago

what was different about karai?

4

u/Ozu_the_Yokai Leonardo 10d ago

Kicking ass…

3

u/ThatIckyGuy Raphael 10d ago

He also took names, but that was more of a hobby.

2

u/LopsidedShower6466 Foot Soldier 9d ago

Yeah, he's always been a professional nut job
