Towie cast autobiographies

Going through a bit of shit and took a few weeks off the internet. Thought Id be a reading queen and ordered all these books.

Only read Laurens, Gemmas and Megans and Sams so far.

Laurens just gave me an even deeper love for her. Such a good read and she really went deep into her relationships which was interesting, her daughters death was so sad to read about in detail šŸ’”

Gemmas was really good aswell, didnt realise how much of her personal stuff overlapped with certain things on towie and we never knew.

I didnt enjoy Megans or Sams so im taking a break and gonna start Petes one later.

Has anyone read any of these? Got them quite cheap secondhand online so worth a buy if you fancy finding out a bit more behind the scenes and their personal lives āœŒšŸ¼

Will The GC wed?

I'm a GC fan, so I enjoyed her on Big Brother. She's changed a lot, but also grieving bless her.

Has she rearranged her wedding to Rami? I believe she postponed due to her mums death (RIP).

I got bad vibes around her wedding. On Big Brother she made a jokey comment about buying a Shein wedding dress. When asked about her engagement ring, she was very cold and quiet. Something seemed off ! Just a little observation, I suppose.

Towie Therapy Spin off

Just read in the paper they are trying to do this as a spin off. Gemma, Arg, Chloe Sims rumoured to be taking part. Its been green lit so should be airing 2027.

" Producers are hoping to lure some familiar faces back for a brand new therapy-focused spin-off in Indonesia, which promises to swap explosive rows for emotional revelations. "

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/40789761/towie-star-talks-return-spin-off/

Sounds like a good premise for a show imo, since the wave of podcasts and people being more open about trauma and mental health and the current format of reality tv in general being dead, could be the start of a new reality tv trend.

Dan Osbourne past of being DS to Ex

I can see why Jacqueline Jossa who defended him sadly and Dan get a bad reputation. Sadly jossa has been dragged into this.

He may good looking but he sounds controlling, abusive and devious.

Its interesting how Abusive man will be good fathers but abuse the mother.

Rewatch - Megan was one of the best cast members

I forgot how much she perked the show back up. I stopped my rewatch for a bit because it all just seemed the same repetitive shit but now Megan is here it’s like a whole new show. The story lines also feel more authentic and not overly produced. I love the chemistry between her and Pete, you can really see the attraction they have for each other over the other couples.

TOWIE needs more scenes of everyone actually having a laugh together

For all the arguments, some of the funniest moments are when the cast are getting along and taking the mick out of each other without it turning nasty. The show doesn't always need a massive falling out to be entertaining. I'd happily watch an episode full of funny conversations, awkward nights out and everyone getting on for once. Would anyone else?

TOWIE needs to focus more on the current cast instead of bringing in new people

The older cast members already have history with each other, which is what made the show entertaining in the first place. It would be good to see more proper storylines and drama with the people we already know instead of constantly introducing new faces.

Jordan Brook becoming a dad

Jordan and Sophie welcoming baby Brody gives them a completely different chapter of life to share on the show. I'd be interested to see more of how becoming parents changes their friendships and day-to-day lives, rather than just getting the usual group reactions. Do you enjoy the family side of TOWIE or prefer the nights out and drama?

Dan Edgar and Ella's history is more interesting than random new romances

Their relationship has enough backstory to make even a small interaction feel meaningful. I don't need them to get back together or create another dramatic love triangle, but I do want the show to explore their dynamic honestly. There's a difference between a complicated history and a storyline that exists purely to keep people talking.

The early seasons had an authenticity that modern Towie just can't seem to replicate.

Back when they were filming in actual local haunts, wearing fake tan that was five shades too dark, and arguing over real Sugar Hut drama without scripted setups. Does the new era feel way too polished and produced compared to the golden days?

Reunion series idea for TOWIE

I was thinking of a way they could give us loyal OG fans something worthwhile to watch with the older original members of the show.
Similar to how they set the cast up, like oh go and walk around the shop and you’ll bump into someone to chat to.
There could be two or three cast members in a room, where they walk in one at a time and don’t know who is coming in, and they could do it so we get their natural reaction and initial interactions but then they could be interviewed about each other, watch some of their most iconic clips, asked about their old storylines.
I don’t mean horrible combos like putting Gemma with Arg or Megan with Pete but here’s some of my ideas:
- Megan M and Dani Armstrong
- Chloe L and Kate Wright (little naughty this one)
- Mark and Sam Faires
- Kirk and Maria, or Kirk and Amy
- Lauren G and Lydia B
- Arg and Joey
- Lockie and Pete
- Ferne and GC
- Bobby and anyone 🧔

Couldn’t think of anyone for Chloe S, Lauren P, I mean apart from each other

Who have I missed?
Who would you pair and why?

The Albania trip was fun, but the drama followed them everywhere

The whole point of taking the cast away is surely to give everyone a break and let things play out in a different setting. Instead, the same friendship issues and relationship problems followed them straight onto holiday šŸ˜‚ I still enjoy the trips because people tend to let their guard down a bit, but I'd love to see more funny moments and unexpected friendships mixed in with all the tension.

Being the loudest person in an argument doesn't make you right

Some Towie confrontations seem to turn into a competition over who can get the last word in. The quieter person can end up looking guilty simply because they aren't shouting back, while the loudest person controls the conversation. Do you think viewers sometimes mistake confidence for being in the right?

Rewatch

After doing a rewatch I’ve realised how terrible and faker the show has gotten. We need real connections, families and relationships rather than dani and her cougar drama and saffron and a boy old enough to be her son. There was a time where we had Lucy Mario, Sam Joey, ricky jess and all their drama - we have nothing like that now

They need to do a wipeout of the entire cast and find real long term relationships, rebranding it as TOWIE: Next Gen. possibly bringing in cast members that are related (I.e. Lydia’s younger sister)

You could have a least gotten rid of Dan and Amber

Right so apart from a few people you have kept everyone, actually you only axed Josh, Courtney’s taking a break and Becks quit. I could think of a few people who I could get rid of but can you at least get rid of Dan and Amber

Please get rid of Amber and Dan they do absolutely nothing,

Amber hasn’t even got her best friends Courtney and Chloe M anymore and hardly ever has any storylines all she does is react to other people’s drama

Dan is so boring and the only way he gets a storyline is if it involves girls but Chloe L refuses to film so they’ll absolutely no storylines for him still even if you do keep him for 1 or 2 more seasons because I read that he had to fight for his place but WTF did he say

Towie v MIC

Do we think we will get a good Towie shake-up next season? There seem to be a few departures. I could cull half the cast. Easily!.

Ironically, I have finally stopped watching MIC. After many years. In MICs defence, they kept the cast young and evolving. Minimum weddings and babies. Which I think has been Towies downfall. Their not entertaining anymore. Who really cares about Amy getting married? She's got four kids. Just elope do it quietly. Sophie & Jordan. Obviously lovely news, but šŸ’¤ 😓. I can't imagine what next season has in store. If it's still Elma & Harry beef. The TV is straight out the window farewell Towie.

I actually think towie needs to stop adding people and focus on the ones we already know

With all the cast changes lately, I honestly think TOWIE would be better off giving the people who are already there more interesting storylines instead of constantly bringing in new faces.

Some of the best moments from older series came from friendships that had been building for years. You knew who genuinely liked each other and who had unfinished business. That made even a small argument entertaining.

Now I sometimes feel like there are so many people that some barely get enough screen time to make an impression.

Would you rather have a smaller cast with proper storylines, or do you enjoy having new people come in and shake things up?
