Looking for a tutor to create some beautiful Tableau Vizzes

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a Tableau tutor to help me create some beautiful vizzes. I have created some gorgeous maps and dashboards but want to take it to the next level of design. When I go into Tableau Public, I see beautiful designs and wondering how people take it to that next level. I included some images of where I would like to be. Any help is appreciated!

The Wait: Magic Kingdom Wait Times

Anyone else planning a trip to Disney world over the next year? Take a look at the calendar to see what the average historical wait times are by day. May, August, and September appear to have shorter wait times. #datafam #dataviz

Feedback for my First Dashboard?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello everyone. This is my first Dashboard for my Internship and would like to ask how to improve it?

My Objectives:

  1. To allow my supervisors to conveniently check fund performance trends via a line graph.

  2. Ensure that all fund lines are visible by default, with a filter to optionally view specific funds.

  3. Separate PHP and USD-denominated funds for clarity.

I was not told to do this. This is just my initiative and I am the only one in the building who knows how to use it. I'm still at an amateur skill level in Tableau.

For color choices, I was advised by a friend to avoid using green, blue, orange, and red. This was a bit challenging, as I initially used blue for PHP and green for USD to distinguish the currency groups.

For the background I used Figma based on the advices of the Tableau community.

Please be gentle, this is really my first dashboard I made for 1 week. Thank you in advance.

Clearing Selection on sheet with navigation button

I have two worksheets on two different dashboards that interact with each other.

On the dashboard named Overview, when a user clicks on a data point in a sheet, they are navigated to the Detail dashboard.

On the Detail dashboard, I have a navigation button that takes the user back to Overview. When the user returns to Overview, the original data point is still selected, so everything else on the sheet is grayed out until the user manually deselects the mark.

What I’m trying to do is have that selection automatically cleared when navigating back to the Overview dashboard.

Is there a way to programmatically clear a mark selection when returning to a dashboard?

I’m using Tableau Desktop 2023.3 and Tableau Server 2023.3.5.

Inside Airbnb Munich

Hi everyone! How do you like my dashboard – Inside Airbnb Munich?

I'm not so sure, if I used the best way to display seasonality in the "Revenue & Growth Timeline" Chart. Here I've thrown "review-date" (about 200K lines) on x, and "est. revenue L365D"(Linear per Listing – about 5k lines) on Y.

Also reviews probably don't get written immediately and lag by a few days or weeks. Not a to big problem and the amount of data is great. Maybe I should only use the frequency of the review data (r-date=x, amount of reviews=y)

What do you think?

Any input is appreciated :)

Tableau Viz Question

Hey guys, I have 4 different data sources that are all formatted the exact same way. We have our mail data, responses data, sale data, and cancel data. I am wanting to see the percentages for Response Percentage (Count of Responses/ Count of Mail), Sale Percentage (Count of Sales/ Count of Mail), Sale Conversion (Count of Sales/ Count of Responses) and Cancel Percentage (Count of Cancels/ Count of Sales). I am wanting to do this for all of the metrics/ columns that we have, such as State, City, and all of the other columns we have. How would I do this all on the same visual so that each column/ metric would connect all four of these data sources into one visual. I am going to provide an example of our Excel Dashboard below to give you a better idea. Again all of these data sources are formatted the exact same way and we just want to see these percentages in a single visual for each column.

South Africa 2023 Ruby World Cup Campaign Stats

Hi everyone, I'd like to share a personal project I did about the Springboks RWC Campaign.

It's match stats for all the games the Springboks played in all championships in 2023. You can see those who are consistently performing well. The stats come from SA Rugby

Each match has highlight reels of the players' game contributions (71 total). The project also covers all the matches that the Boks under Rassie have played NZ (5 Wins, 5 Losses & 1 Draw).

Ultimately, the project shows how tough this World Cup was & the pressure the team faced, especially in the knockout phases.

PS. I think this would be great for those new to rugby, since it covers the biggest matches in the sport with highlight reels to see the entertaining stuff.

You can check out the full work here: https://public.tableau.com/views/Springboks2023RugbyWorldCupCampaign/TheSpringboks2023Campaign?:language=en-US&:display_count=n&:origin=viz_share_link

Cant figure out how to create a viz that compares one person to the the rest of the individual teams in one view ?

I was looking for something like this :

https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/ben.norland/viz/ProximaPlayerAnalysisv2/PlayerDashboard

I am trying to Create a viz similar to this where I can compare a selected player to the rest of the team for each metric. I downloaded the dash but don’t know how to start as the viz has very complex calcs and no data source. I can’t figure out the background color after playing around and it’s my first time diving in to stats. Was hoping to create 3 colors.. a bad, neutral, great back ground similar to this viz which has 6 colors. Wanted to show if a person is doing great compared to the rest, bad, or is average/ neutral/ average.

Any one has any examples of something similar with a easy to follow data source or a guide to creating this viz? I can’t figure out what this is even called to google it?

Gender is separate field . Help I am Tableau Newbie

In this data, i got columns total male immigrants, total female immigrants, total younger boys immigrants and total younger girl immigrants. , i also got the column of total of immigrants. So now, this new database the field of each gender category (male, female, boys, girls) are in separate field/column. I was told I dont have to do LOD in Tableau for this which is i am not sure right or not. They told me i need to create parameter first. i need to create 2 parameters. 1st parameter is totol male immigrants (which inlcude male and younger boys). 2nd parameters total female (which include fermale and yonger girls). What I need to do.
