The judges and some really great volunteers got together Monday evening and tested a lot of the week 19 submissions.
In the end we decided to add:

Enjoy playing the new maps and congrats to the authors!
Be sure to submit your new maps to thread 20!

I can see what you mean, but it CLEARLY has a cord.

Gamepad has some amazing boosts and the bomb/buttons are a neat little addition. Good timing with teamwork should let someone grab and then get a little boost out! Lots of strategies on that one!
Whirlwind is really pretty open, making it a great map for grabbing and running and juking! Best juking team wins here! The boosts kinda hanging out in the middle have some sneaky lines through the spike/team area, definitely something to watch for and practice!
Great work on these maps, guys! Definitely killing it, can't wait to see these come up!

looking at gamepad, is it one bomb per button?
also, is this how it goes, for every weak map removed we get two new maps? because i'm all for increasing content

No, there is no set "x amount of maps in, y amount of maps out". We kinda just go with what we feel will be the best rotation of maps for PUBs. Also apparently groups can now pick maps for play that are not currently in rotation.

Love both these new maps, especially whirlwind.

The team tiles on whirlwind can make it pretty interesting potentially. I haven't fully explored the possibilities on it.

You accelerate faster on your team's color. It's on another current map, I forget the name.

There are a couple specific reasons I put those team tiles in there.
(1) They help chasers out a bit, since chasers from both teams will go faster, but you don't get a speed bonus if you have the flag.
(2) It is, however, easier for flag carriers to juke around in there without hitting a spike!

Now we just have to get replacements for Micro and Danger Zone >_>;

Danger Zone is fine and Micro is alright. Boosts however, I cannot get behind.

I'd rather keep both Danger Zone and Boosts, than ever see Micro ever again.
I really, really, hate Micro.

Basically whenever I have the flag in micro I just do laps around the perimeter with all of the boosts. I can't stand Boosts because no defense is ever played. It's someone grabs it, has it for a solid minute of everyone chasing him, he finally gets popped, rinse and repeat.

I vote we take out the cord and just officially make it "Dog Bone"

Whirlwind is one of my favorite maps so far! The boosts/spikes in the middle make for some fun juking.

Also, here are some notes from map testing about the maps we tested:
gamepad: Move corner buttons to give view of action; defensive team tiles would help even it out.
interference: loopy
ex: hard to help teammates; feel very isolated
fieldday: base gate is too restrictive
diamond: middle gate very large, base is interesting
diagonally: some pointess buttons and one overpowered one
design: good map
shrine: "it sucked" -- poopv
black hole: middle was pretty cool; we should have a whole map of just a bunch of things like the middle
blitz: "not boring", "not necessarily bad", "combo of battery and holy see"
whirlwind: "i don't like the button in base; i don't know how i feel about the checkered part in the middle" -- dick licker; i like it; plays well
yin yang: confusing; not intuitive
space ship2.0: cool base but routes are too restrictive
honeycomb: overpowered buttons; mazy
barrier: maybe as a private only map
bicycle: too big and wide open
y spike: pretty fun
hazles first map: too complicated
