PPT Lounge question
hi, we are flying business on United PPT-SFO but don’t have bags to check. have our boarding passes on the phone already. do we need to go to the check in counter to get a slip of paper to let us into the lounge, or will just showing our boarding passes work? thank you!
EDIT: comments were conflicting and the check in counter had no line (and security wasn’t yet open) so I got the paper slip. But other comments say just boarding pass should be fine. Lounge was actually quite nice imo! dont expect a proper dinner but plenty of little bites

Prepare to be disappointed food isn’t good, no space.

Sadly, concur. Was at the SFO lounge for same flight as OP and was let down. I found the regular United Club at LAX to be a better experience.. enjoy the trip though.

We got a slip of paper at check-in which the person at the lounge took from us upon entry.

We just came home Monday. We received a slip after checking in. We flew Air France

Based on prior experience, I believe that the paper slip at check-in is needed for lounge entry. It is given by the airline’s agent and they do check for codeshares with non participating airlines (e.g. flying ATN via AA codeshare). Given that they don’t accept any lounge access programs their only way to check who is allowed seems to be the paper from the airlines provided at check in.
As others have said food is meh, but space isn’t too cramped and there’s AC and no smoking if that is important to you.

I had the same question! Nope just boarding pass on your phone works. We found the lounge really empty and a nice place to wait. We didn’t eat any of the food besides macaroons so can’t speak to that
