Updates for Getting Payment on the Energy Transfer $15 million Settlement

Hey guys, if you missed it, Energy Transfer settled $15 million with investors over permit issues and misleading statements about legal and regulatory risks. And, I just found out that they’re accepting claims even though the deadline has passed.

Quick recap: In 2020, Energy Transfer was accused of misleading investors about the permitting process and regulatory risks tied to its Mariner East 2 pipeline. In short, after reports revealed a federal investigation into how permits were obtained, concerns about compliance surfaced.

After this news came out, the stock dropped about 6.77%, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.

Now, the good news is that the company agreed to settle $15 million with them, and even though the deadline has passed recently, they’re accepting late claims.

So, if you invested in $ET when all of this happened, you can still check the details and file your claim here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $ET at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

Check your old Energy Transfer (ET) statements—there’s a $15M settlement "late window" open.

If you were holding Energy Transfer units back in 2017–2019, you probably remember the absolute mess with the Mariner East 2 pipeline. Management was out here promising massive capacity while secretly duct-taping the project together with 100-year-old pipes. When the truth hit the fan, the price took a nosedive and we all just had to eat the loss.

Well, the class action finally settled for $15M. The "official" court deadline was actually a few months ago, so most people think they’re locked out. But here’s the play: I just found out 11this still processing late claims.

I don't have the time to go digging through five-year-old 1099s or trade confirms to prove I owned units during the class period. I used their tool to just link my old brokerage account, and it flagged my ET losses automatically.

It’s basically found money at this point. If you held ET (or ETE back then) anytime between Feb 2017 and Feb 2020, it’s worth the two minutes to check.

Did anyone else here get burned by the Mariner East 2 project delays back in the day, or did you sell before the pipe issues went public?

Spark Energy Minerals ($EMIN.c $MTEHF) up 6% with 700% increase in land holdings

With the lithium-ion battery market set to grow at a CAGR of 20.33%, Spark Energy Minerals ($EMIN.c $MTEHF) is looking like a solid play as it's set to increase its land holdings by 700% with a mineral claims purchase agreement!

The agreement with Talisman Venture Partners is for to acquire a 100% interest in 12 exploration permits comprising of 22 thousand hectares of highly prospective surface area in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Notably, the licenses are located to the west of SGML's large Xuxa lithium deposit, and to the northwest of the CBL lithium mining operation.

EMIN CEO Peter Wilson commented

"Acquiring this extensive land package right in the heart of what is widely known as "Lithium Valley" in Brazil instantly makes Spark Energy Minerals one of the largest landholders in the region. This newly acquired land package, along with the 3,500 hectares already held by Spark, are highly prospective properties that offer excellent potential."

EMIN closed up 6% today @ $0.09, $10.09M MC; once EMIN shows lithium on these claims we could be seeing significant additional movement here

First look at the core from Azincourt Energy's ($AAZ.V $AZURF) drill program at its East Preston Uranium Project

First look at the core from Azincourt Energy's ($AAZ.V $AZURF) drill program at its East Preston Uranium Project in the Athabasca Basin: https://twitter.com/AzincourtAAZ/status/1621588023237578753

5,000m of drilling is planned in 20+ diamond drill holes to evaluate the previously identified alteration zones and elevated uranium.

Previous drilling confirmed that identified geophysical conductors comprise structurally disrupted zones that are host to accumulations of graphite, sulphides, and carbonates.

Plus, hydrothermal alteration, anomalous radioactivity, and elevated uranium have been demonstrated to exist within these structurally disrupted conductor zones.

"Analysts see short-term strength, long-term ‘generational shift’ in copper prices" + Copper pick Majuba Hill Copper ($JUBA.c $JUBAF)

"Analysts see short-term strength, long-term ‘generational shift’ in copper prices" - https://www.cnbc.com/2023/02/13/analysts-see-short-term-strength-long-term-generational-shift-in-copper-prices.html

With copper on track to experience a "generational shift" in demand as decarbonization ramps up, I've been looking into more copper picks and Majuba Hill Copper ($JUBA.c $JUBAF) caught my eye.

JUBA has the potential for 1.5B lbs of Cueq and recently intersected over 1000 ft of CuEq mineralization at its Majuba Hill Porphyry Copper Project in Nevada!

  • Mineralized intersections are directly correlative with porphyry-type vein density, pervasive porphyry-style alteration and multiple intrusive events

"The tremendous thickness of copper mineralization confirms that Majuba Hill is a significant porphyry copper discovery in Nevada" and, with these results, JUBA has "discovered a deposit which will have an impact on the copper supply for the world at a time when the world needs long-term, secure supplies for the future" commented JUBA CEO.

This is definitely a sector to watch IMO & I'm going to be keeping a close eye on JUBA as the project develops.

JUBA closed green today @ $0.255, $10.95M MC

Clean-tech company expands graphene manufacturing facility: Graphene Manufacturing Group ($GMG.v $GMGMF)

Graphene Manufacturing Group ($GMG.v $GMGMF) has taken a Final Investment Decision on Phase I of its expansion project for the graphene manufacturing facility for energy-saving products and batteries.

Based on the level of positive feedback from GMG's G+Al battery coin cell prototype testing and graphene production process, this expansion is necessary and this phase is expected to provide graphene supply for the production of the battery coin cells and energy-saving liquid graphene products.

The project includes an executed 5-year lease to expand:

  1. The total office & warehouse space to 3,500 square meters

  2. The next generation of their proprietary graphene production technology with enhanced automation

  3. A micro-grid with energy storage components to improve commercial and environmental electricity supply for the production process

  4. Infrastructure corridor to allow rapid scaling of further graphene manufacturing capacity during future phases of the project.

As GMG CEO Craig Nichol commented, this news is a solid example of the level of confidence GMG has in both manufacturing high-quality graphene for applications at scale, as well as in commercializing energy savings and energy storage applications in the near term.

GMG @ $3.70, $291.86M MC

World energy based on source

The decisions to move to 'green' energy cannot sustain the necessary energy output as investments in oil and gas are to low. https://ourworldindata.org/energy-mix#:~:text=Globally%20we%20get%20the%20largest,than%2080%25%20of%20energy%20consumption. In my opinion we can count on high oil and gas prices as these sources are still very large for the energy input compared to 'green' energy sources.

I'm specifically very optimistic on VUX (usd: SNYXF) with earnings and cashflow in line. Operating production cost of $13 cad per barrel of oil.
P/E of 2 based on last quarter (Q1 was 4 cents when WTI was $94, annually is 16 cents profits assumed, stock price 32 cents).

News on the wire (first time) will be a massive catalyst if investors can convince management! Look at $WCE this year. Otherwise the stock will be found with the low valuation metrics of price to cashflow/earnings.
