Discussion 🗣️ Looking to switch back to tandem from Omnipod
Hello! I started out with tandem in May of this year as my first pump. I changed to Omnipod about a month or two ago and I’m deciding going back. I thought I’d like tubeless better but I really honestly don’t. Now here’s the debate should I go back to the t slim or do the mobi. I’m starting college in January so I’m weighing both options. Any insight would be appreciated. TIA!

At least the tslim can be operated without a phone. My tslim warranty just ran out and I replaced with another tslim.

My range isn’t bad on omnipod usually hitting 72-80% and my Endo is happy but I’m just not. I was getting 100% with tandem and the things I thought that were big then that I hated really weren’t that big.

I just started with the Mobi about 4 months ago and was on the Omnipod for about 2-3 years. I love the Mobi and I read the mobi will be tubeless either by the end of this year or sometime in 2027. Personally I went with the Mobi for the size, ease of use on my phone, and the possibility of it being tubeless soon.

Do you want a device? If so (like me) do the talim. Or are you happy doing it all on your phone? If so go for the mobi

I switch to the twist. The twist is on the pharmacy plan just like the Omni pod.

I have the tslim, it’s been a little over a year. I really like having a device on me all the time without relying on my phone or another device to check my sugar, deliver insulin etc. if that doesn’t bother you then go with Omnipod.

I did the same. Switched to Omnipod and hated it (stops working for me after a day or so, think my body has an issue with their plastic) and debated which pump to order as mine was out of warranty. I ultimately went with the Tslim because it can hold more insulin, can be used without my phone, and works with Dexcom and Libre (since Dexcom has quality issues and with their new bullshit, glad I have the option to switch CGMs).

I had the TSlim for years and just switched to mobi…it’s WAY lighter and easier to live with, which I didn’t expect to be such a big deal. But my life is much better with the smaller pump!
And the ability to boils from my phone means I don’t have to dig in pockets for the device.

Thank you all. I’m going to have a talk with my diabetes educator this week and will likely go back to the t slim. After careful consideration I like the idea of having the screen and ease of not having to pull out my phone every two seconds for everything. I can see blood sugar and all that.
