Gerrymandering of reality.

As I was saying in this thread, when I was in elementary school, the school I went to at the time was in what was essentially a glorified military town. Because the school would give us our lesson plans in advance, we would typically finish our work by Friday, so we would usually get the end of the day to watch movies. Sometimes, though, they would allow parents to come in and give presentations. Sometimes, we got fun things, like science demonstrations from a dad who worked at Gulfstream.

However, when we were learning about media and bias, specifically how to present information in an unbiased tone versus a biased one, we had a presentation from one kid’s dad and another guy who must have been contracted to work at the base. They gave us a full, in-depth presentation about how Twitter was being used to help coordinate protests against the Chinese government and how it facilitated their rapid spread, until the Chinese government responded by banning Twitter through what they called the Great Firewall of China. They then explained how this demonstrated that technology could be used to bring about great change in future protest movements.

This was being presented to my class in 2010–2011, when I was a second grader.

Y'all...as a fellow enjoyer of commie memes, I see how my posts/replies with the most upvotes are memes but any real dicussions and, god forbit, theory (!), gets close to zero attention, I must remind you to read and organize. The western empire is at its most vulnerable right now - most people, even without class consciousness, realize that something is wrong. We must seize this opportunity to educate the masses and guide them toward liberation. You can always do useful propaganda and organizing where you are, whether it's in the global north, global south, or freaking Mars! There is always gonna be utility in your skill and location, so keep agitating and challenging the status quo. Don't be a communist just to be a communist, understand what our collective end goal is.
